The volume max is really low. Super disappointed. Tried to reset the headphones and made sure it wasn't a phone error. Quite simply I can barely hear out of these. They work great for a day or so, then they don't. Don't recommend

We appreciate your feedback. If you have already maximized the volume levels on both your source device and the earbuds itself and still find the loudness insufficient, please note that the EQ (equalizer) feature can be accessed through the JBL Headphones App to adjust and enhance the volume levels of specific frequencies in the audio signal. If you have already tried this and remain unsatisfied with the loudness, rest assured that we're always looking for ways to improve, and your feedback will be forwarded to our development team for future improvement. Doesn't switch back and forth connecting to different devices well at all. Smallest ear cushions are too big for me. Awkward to put on.

My Powerbeats 3 finally kicked the bucket so I was looking to move to fully wireless - settled on the JBL due to the much lower cost. Have used these at the gym while lifting, riding the bike and running on the treadmill for a month now, here are my honest observations thus far: Fit - Once I found the correct size tips, I found the fit to be tight in the ear canal and secure around the ear, no adjustments needed during my workout. They are not noise-cancelling but do a nice job of keeping outside noises to a minimum. While the Beats had a wire inside the stems, these do not; they stay tight enough for me without having to reshape the stem, as I did on the Beats. I also like the auto on/off when pulling the stem away from the body - no power button to worry about. Battery life - Excellent, far outlasts the power on my iPod. Case holds a charge very well between chargings, as well. Sound quality - out of the box, I would give the nod to Beats as far as bass response and for my taste, the overall spectrum was a bit too bright. Once I used the app to tailor the EQ by increasing the low end and reducing the highs, I was very happy with the results. If you are looking for booming, thumping bass, you may want to stick with Beats - if you are happy with a good overall sound with a full low end, these will be fine. Ease of use - Connected very easily with my iPod - they were found and paired within seconds. Also experimented with an Android phone and that proved to be a bit of a pain but after finding a video online, was able to go through the few extra steps needed. So utmost simplicity with Apple, a tad more difficult with Android. Overall, for my intended use at the gym, these are very good, especially for the price. My only real complaint (which may be a positive for others) is that the on-ear functions are VERY touchy. The first few times I used them, the slightest touch of a finger or even a towel would pause the music, turn on the ambient noise feature, etc. But again you can use the app to change the functions (I only use for music and not phone so I have only volume on the left and play/RW/FF on the right) or even turn them off completely. Bottom line from my standpoint - once you have customized the EQ and the functions using the app, you'll have a great-sounding pair of earbuds and plenty of features should you be using them for phone call as well. If you are married to huge bass and the Beats brand, probably stick with those - if you want to spend far less for pretty comparable performance, the Peak 3 is a great alternative.

Pretty not great. The peak 3’s are better than the 2’s , but not very impressive using any of the standard metrics, I ended up trading them in. For an extra 30.00, you can buy Samsung linkbuds S, and they are ten times the quality!
