Blissful quiet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My desk is in our living room where my son plays XBox... he's a bit excited most of the time. Now I can focus on my work even with him yelling 'dude!', 'medic!', and 'seriously?!' They work great and my SO is considering replacing Beats Studio with them too

Excellent headphones - Hard to beat!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are all around a great value and a great product. I would highly recommend trying out headphones at any electronic store, to decide for yourself what you prefer and like before committing to a purchase. But, if you don't have time for that then feel comfort in making the purchase to buy these headphones. Noise cancelling headphones are awesome and come in handy for long trips, or just relaxing at home trying to get the best possible environment for enjoying your music. I have another pair of noise cancelling headphones, the Bose Quietcomfort 35's, and these are highly comparable to those. Very comfortable, fold-able for easy storage, buttons right on the headphones that are very easy to use, and a pretty easy to use app. Sound quality is awesome, and you can get about 18-20 hours non stop listening before you need to charge these. You just can't go wrong with these!

Not bad, but hoped for better
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In this price range I would consider these to be premium headphones. I have had quite a few different pairs of Bluetooth headphones over the past several years including Studio Beats, B&W P7's, Audio-Technica DSR7BT's and Plantronics Back Beat Pro's to name a few. Having said this I expected a pretty good set of headphones based on their reputation and having used the previous JBL Everest model. I'm said to say that I am somewhat disappointed in the overall performance of these. The sound quality at lower volume levels is pretty good and has decent clarity. The bass comes out really distorted and not really as tight as it should be. I downloaded the app and played with the EQ settings and found that turning it off provided me with the best balance between lows, mids and highs. The TruNote Auto Calibration in the app, actually made the sound worse, so I ended up not using it. The only way I could actually find to turn it off after it calibrated, was to turn the headphones off and then back on and the TruNote audio was off. I did like the noise cancellation within the app. I often changed the settings based on what I was doing so that I could be aware of what was going on around me, when the situation required it. The buttons on the headphones have taken some getting used to also. Instead of double or triple tapping the buttons to change the track, you have to hold the button for 3 secs. This is somewhat annoying and when you are wearing them, it is somewhat difficult to distinguish between the buttons. The headphones were certainly comfortable to wear for an extended period of time and I never got the sore neck or heavy head that I get with some other over the ear headphones. I do appreciate being able to use the line cord if the battery dies and I liked the carrying case also with the picture on it that shows you how to fold the headphones to fit them in the case. Overall, these are decent headphones, but for this price, I might consider some other options. I would recommend them for the comfort, good battery life and good noise cancellation. However, if you want good bass and easy toggling for volume and changing the tracks on your device, these aren't the best.

Nice BT Headphones but some problems
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The JBL Everest Elite 750NC headphones are quite nice in fit, finish and comfortable wearing. Overall, I'm not impressed with BT headphones. The sound from the JBL headphones is good...when the headphones are working smoothly. My experience has been that sometimes it will connect just fine and other times not so well. Got them paired OK but turning off the headphones or back on sometimes lost the sound, sometimes not. One time the sound just kept coming and going - off, on, off, on. It could have been interference from my BT keyboard and BT mouse on my computer, but then those BT items don't conflict with each other so I don't know why the BT headphones would. Perhaps another BT device other than my computer would allow it to perform better, but I have no simple way of trying that. Even so, BT headphones (tried another brand one time, expensive ones too) seem too finicky for me, too much fooling around with them at times to make me question their worth. Probably someone else has had better luck given the number of BT headphones and earphones being used today, but my forays into the BT headphone world haven't been very impressive. To me, they should pair, connect and simply work every time you turn them on within range of your device. It shouldn't be hit and miss, but most of the time that's what I find when using BT headphones/earphones. Finally, sound over BT does tend to lag behind the source so if you're watching TV you can notice the sound through BT being a bit delayed from the person doing the speaking. Overall, the JBL headphones are very nicely constructed and are made to allow ambient noise in a little, a little more, or not at all. But for me, it's going to take a connecting cable between the headphones and the device for me to really enjoy them - then, they're just noise cancelling headphones, but at least you can enjoy them more than I'm able to through BT. I don't know if it's just me, but BT in general doesn't seem stable enough to simply work, and I've had this same hit and miss experience with the JBL headphones.

Just ok
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones could definitely be better. Both locals and Bass is just not clean. It's nice because if you download the app on your phone you can actually manipulate levels how you like but there is just no way to get good bass response along with good vocals.

Okay sound, returned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.they were different than the Bose, but still not happy, they would make this loud high pitched squeal when noise cancelling was on and you quickly removed them from your head...annoying and couldn't figure out how to prevent that from happening. Returned them

All-day Comfort and Rich Sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I work at home in a job that requires full concentration. I am good at focusing on what I am doing, but when our dogs start playing together, the neighbor is mowing his lawn, and my husband is singing along with his tunes across the hall, I need help blocking everything out and giving me something pleasant and work-conducive to listen to. The JBL Everest 750NC Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones are doing the trick. I have tried several brands and styles of headphones over the years – over-ear and in-ear – but I had never found any that were both effective and comfortable. To be effective, I need headphones that deliver great sound while shutting out other things. I also need them to be so comfortable that I forget I have them on; otherwise, they are a distraction. The first day I wore the Everest 750NC headphones, I did, indeed, forget I had them on. The over-ear cups are soft and cushy and fit snugly around my ears without strangling them. The control buttons are easy to reach and distinguish from each other, and the overhead piece is adjustable and rests lightly on my head. As soon as I made the Bluetooth connection with my iPhone (very easy) and had the JBL app installed and everything adjusted (also very easy), I was able to forget that lawn service guys and a crew installing AT&T’s new gigabit fiber cable were right outside my window. I don’t claim that there was zero noise in my world that day, just that it was overcome and ameliorated to the extent that I could ignore it. I also don’t claim to be an audiophile, but I do like good, rich sound that lets me hear every instrument in the orchestra and every voice in a conversation. The JBL Everest 750NC headphones provide that. The JBL app has presets and individual adjustment options that have allowed me to custom-set the headphones to my sound preferences. For example, the Ambient Aware feature has 4 noise-cancelling levels, from Off to High, and the equalizer gives me the manufacturer’s presets as well as the ability to create custom presets. The app makes it easy for me to change any of these settings if I go from a quiet room to a café or switch from Mozart to a TED talk. The app also tells me at a glance how much power is left in the battery, as well as a lovely voice that politely interrupts my music to tell me when the battery is getting low. My only complaint about the JBL Everest 750NC headphones is with the instruction brochure – truly miniscule print. I finally gave up trying to read the instructions and downloaded the PDF version, so that I could increase the size until it was legible. Fortunately, everything about these headphones and the app is straightforward and logical, so I won’t need to read the instructions again – I'll just enjoy the all-day comfort and rich sound.
