Excellent Noise Canceling
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.JBL packed a lot into this headset. Noise canceling with 3 levels of ambient awareness so you can either be oblivious to all noise, or be semi alert in busy areas. You can control these settings either directly on the headphones, or via the JBL app. The app gives you some more settings to control, and also something called TruNote that calibrates the audio. There is also an option to update the firmware if needed. I used them while cutting the lawn, and I could barely hear my mower, and they were very comfortable. Very impressive! They are lightweight in comparison to other headphones I own. They also come with a cable that allows you to use them without being powered on, and has a built in mic and control button, but they sound much better when powered on and connected via bluetooth. And they have that signature JBL sound to them.

Good Headphones, but with issues
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, let me start off by saying that I had the highest hopes for the JBL Everest Elite 750NC headphones. At $299, these should have premium sound. Unfortunately, the set that I received has issues which I feel are preventing me from making a complete review. I cannot give these headphones anything more than 2 stars because at moderately high volume levels, I am having massive distortion with bass that these should easily be able to handle. It only happens when noise cancelling is active and can be eliminated by holding the headphones firm against your ear--but one shouldn't have to do those things. Further, sound quality and volume is considerably lower when noise cancellation is off. It sounds very flat and you can't turn the sound up enough to get it up to the levels it easily achieves with noise cancellation activated. It can handle the highs and mid-range, but if it's a loud scene with explosions or just really loud, the distortion starts sound like a blown speaker. I think I have a faulty set and have contacted JBL to inquire about a resolution. Until then, I can't give a fair review of the headphones. As far as build quality, I found the headset to look very nice and feels like it was made of quality material. The ear pieces are very comfortable and the headband doesn't bother me. The controls are also easy enough. JBL also included a very nice hard carrying case with a mini case inside for the micro USB charging cable and the 3.5mm audio cable that are included. I thought this was a really nice touch rather than just have them bouncing around in the main case. For now, I'm going to assume my experience is isolated and that I have a defective set. Although it's worth pointing out that others have experienced similar problems with bass. JBL says that what I am experiencing is not a normal, but we are still troubleshooting. Until this is resolved, I don't feel like I can make accurate reviews of the other noise cancellation, ambient awareness, and TruNote features. I will make updates once we have resolved the issue.

Very nice headphones!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looking for a pair of over the ear headphones that are comfortable, look no further. These headphones are light, yet comfortable over the ear and have really good sound quality overall - very impressed. While they are not necessarily super loud or good for loud bass (which really isn't good for your hearing anyway) they are of high quality when compared with other wired and Bluetooth headphones. I tested other headphones you'd find on the shelf near these and in my opinion these would rank somewhere in the middle to almost the high end ones. Again I compared these to some otter popular higher end headphones and these were nearly the same or better in terms of sound. The voice announcements are really nice and the companion app works well enough to allow you to customize the sound to your taste, including the EQ and noise cancellation. I did not care for the ambient aware feature so don't think I'd ever be using that feature. The only thing I found cool was that you could turn off the noise cancellation but doing so also turns off any set EQ's, outside of that I'd say these are nearly perfect! They come with a nice carry case, and cables for charging and wired use. Pros: Good wireless range Fast charging time Good sound quality Excellent comfort Lightweight Voice prompts Good noise cancelling Only a slightly noiceable background noise from the noise cancellation - you can turn noise cancellation off Includes nice case and cables Cons: Ambient aware feature is cool but really lets in too much background noise Turning off noise cancellation does turn off set EQ's

Good Sound, Major Design Flaws
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first problem I had with the JBL Everest 750NC headphones was with the Bluetooth connectivity. It seemed as if the signal was dropping and reconnecting every second so that I was only hearing 1/2 of each word. I tried it on various devices and the result was always the same. I have Bose QC35 headphones that have no such problem connecting with the same devices. Therefore, I can only review these as wired headphones. Despite good sound from these headphones, I found that the more I used them, the more I found not to like about them. 1) You can only connect to 1 device at a time. I cannot watch a movie on my tablet and also receive a telephone call. This is a major oversight for headphones in this price range. 2) I find the ambient noise adjustments to be nothing more than a gimmick. You buy noise cancelling headphones to keep noise out and even when the ambient noise is set to zero, they are not as good as the Bose. 3) There is no way to know exactly how much power you have left. A light will flash when the battery is low, but in between you are in the dark. The Bose will tell you exactly how much power you have every time you turn the headphones on. I cannot comment on how long the battery lasts because I find that I am always charging them prior to each use since I don't know what power is left. 4) The control buttons are very hard to distinguish without looking at them. it simply takes too much time to figure out which button you are pressing, and the buttons feel cheap. On the positive side, I did like the sound (wired), And, the ear cups are comfortable. Due to the design flaws and the unusable Bluetooth, I cannot recommend these headphones.

It doesn't get much better
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.JBL... Man, I remember growing up wanting a set of JBLs in my ride. They have always been known as one of the best speaker manufacturers around. Well, no surprise that I found myself very anxious to listen to the Everest 750NC headphones. Looking at the box, the packaging wasn’t quite up to the standard of similarly priced cans. It was a tad thin and light, but attractive none the less. But once I got to the contents… Very nice! An attractive, sturdy, soft shell case that has the look of worth. Inside is a beautiful set of headphones, nicely arranged, with a small compartment containing a charging cable and headphone cable. The headphones are very well built. The controls are very subtle, nearly unnoticeable, but easy to operate. Upon picking them up, you can just feel the quality of the components. They are very substantial and solid, yet fluid in movement and joint flexibility. The ear cushions feel like soft leather gloves (very supple), and the padding is top notch. I have the blue set, and I have to say they look great! I tried them on to adjust them, and the comfort level was incredible. Everest must have been chosen to reference reaching the top, because these are the most comfortable set of cans I have put on, period, and yes, I have tried quite a few. The flexibility is crazy on these. Thumbs up to JBL on product design! No doubt! I hooked the headphones up to my phone, selected one of my favorite tunes, and pressed play… The first thing I noticed was the sound approach. By this, I’m referring to the sound focal point – audiophile-like, bass heavy, rock-centered, hip-hop centric. I would say the Everest 750s fall into the audiophile category, with a subtle hint of power behind the sound. Every song I played, from several genres, sounded accurate and rich with great clarity. Man, these things sound great! The noise cancellation is on par with some of the best I have had the pleasure of trying. You will definitely hear musical subtleties that are normally not noticed, and you will definitely notice the differences in production quality among albums/songs. Excellent sound from these cans! What else is there to say about these JBL cans? They look great, feel great, and sound fantastic! This one is really a no brainer in my opinion!

Great Headphones, Could be Better Instructions
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, I was glad to see that this item is not only well packaged within its box, but that the actual headphones and all its accessories, USB and wired cords, nicely fit within a black, hard-shell case that has a loop for ease with carrying. In fact, the 2 different cords are in their own egg-shaped compartment that uses Velcro to attach to a corner within the bigger case. Next, I received the blue metallic headphones and they are very pleasing visually. Additionally, the oval-shaped, cushioned ear covers are very comfortable and do not feel cumbersome. Since I recently received this item and was almost immediately asked to provide a review, I only have had time to use an Android device to Bluetooth these headphones with; that part went smoothly. One of the nice things is that all the controls are on the right-labeled ear and the plug in is on the left. A user can determine the degree of how much noise canceling they want which is great depending on what is going on around them, what they are doing,, and how much awareness one would need in the environment they are in. Great sound. I did not have time to test the manufacturer's note that there is a 15 hour battery life.

Awesome, Comfortable Headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had a couple of JBL speakers for my iPhones that I've always loved so I was excited to try these headphones. And I was not disappointed. Let me start off with how comfortable these are. To me, they looked very comfortable in the picture, and they absolutely live up to that. They're soft and cushioned but still feel very secure when you're wearing them. I was very happy with the sound quality and the noise cancelling feature. I felt that both met my expectations. Considering my roommate walked up behind me when I had them on and I nearly jumped out of my chair when he tapped me on the shoulder, I'd say they were effective! The sound quality was definitely there, and I was able to happily listen to a variety of music and watch a TV show on my phone. JBL absolutely delivered with these headphones.
