I was first surprised by the weight of it. It's not heavy actually, but the feel is solid and physically substantial. The sound is equally substantial in volume and bass reproduction. Pairing with an Echo Dot was easy and solid. I have used it with a 30 foot separation without any issues. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to those that might be shopping for one.

Okay, I chose this speaker for the color, as well as for the price. I bought it online, and I am thrilled with the quality. We used this as a back-up for an amateur chorus who wanted to serenade the residents of a rehab facility. We didn't have much time to practice, so we synced the speaker (bluetooth) to my iPad music and set the speaker behind the singers. Voila! Deep and powerful production! We sounded like a million dollars.
