It was louder though. If you are using this with Alexa as I did, forget it and buy the Alexa View instead. High priced for the unit.

Alexa speakers are different from the JBL speakers., Their quality and signature sound can differ if you'll be pairing them together. JBL Speakers work well with our other speaker models, the same with Alexa speakers.

The speaker has only been used in the shower, not directly in the water but the sound is so distorted, that we have to buy a new speaker. Sadly this speaker was rated one the best for 2020.

Apparently it’s a known defect which is ridiculous after so many versions.
