Posted .We appreciate your review on our JBL Flip 4 speaker but let's try to troubleshoot it as we may be able to get it to connect. If it's your first time turning the speaker on, it will automatically go into pairing mode — indicated by the blinking blue light on the Bluetooth button, along with the prompt tone. Once you see that happening, turn on the Bluetooth on your mobile phone to allow it to discover the speaker. You will then see JBL Flip 4 as an available device to connect to. Select it then try to connect. If you have already tried these steps and failed to connect on one phone, we suggest trying a different mobile phone and make sure to press the Bluetooth button to get the speaker into pairing mode.

Posted .Our JBL Flip 4 isn't recommended to be used with TV as it is designed to be used for mobile phones, tablets, and laptops. It may also cause audio-video delays as this unit doesn't have APTX HD low latency audio codecs.

Four years of daily use and still loving the Flip

I work in a loud, busy kitchen and the Flip produces enough defined sound quality and volume to stand up against all of it. In fact I have to be careful not to turn it up to the point that the customers can here it out front. I have never turned it up all the way so I don't know how loud it actually gets. I get 8 to 10 hours play time depending on the volume. Since I just found out that you can pair two Flips at a time I will be looking at which generations have this feature to take camping.

Posted .Thank you for the review, pairing the JBL Flip 4 to your phone can be done by putting the Flip 4 into pairing mode by pressing and holding the bluetooth button for 3-5 seconds(wait for that sound). Go next to your phone's bluetooth setting and turn it on, look on the list of devices and find the Flip 4 and tap on it to connect to it. You'll hear a sound that indicates that it's pairing. Posted .Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. In order to use the Connect+ feature on your Flip 4 speakers, here's what you need to do:
-Pair one of the FLIP 4 to the source (phone, tablet, pc, etc)
-Keep music streaming via Bluetooth to your first Flip 4 speaker
-Press Connect+ button on the same speaker
-Then press Connect+ button on the second Flip 4 speaker to connect

My only complaint is that it's mono sound as opposed to stereo. You can buy another Flip and then pair the two together to function as left and right audio channels, but I think I can put up for now.

Also, put this little speaker on an acoustic surface (like a wood dresser perhaps) and it will shake the surface providing a nice boom from the bass. I feel like it is best on its side but if you stand it up it is still golden. Those passive speakers really help the deep bass get loud. It sounds larger than it should.

Sound is good quality for this purpose. I did have it on the highest volume and it was not blasting like my other sound system. I am sure my neighbors appreciate that so if you are looking for a blasting device not paired with other speakers then this may not be for you but it works well for backyard performance. Also good for the price and much smaller than I thought which is amazing.

It was the last one on the shelf and omg I'm so happy I snagged it. So worth it. Nice smooth sound, 40% is really loud in my apartment, I usually have it sitting at around 30% volume comfortably. Love this speaker!
