Buy a different speaker

Bought the JBL flip 4 after reading revews. At first was very impressed with the sound. After just 10 days my speaker would not charge without wiggling and taping down charging cord. Did more research after and found that charging problems are more common than I knew, incuding speakers that won't charge at all. Wish I would have spent my hard earned money on a speaker that would have lasted more than 10 days. Very disappointed JBL. Will not buy a JBL product again.

Great gift and color options

JBL Flip 4 is not worth it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have gone through a few of these speakers and they all seem to have a frequency response issue. Certain songs will cause the speakers to distort and crackle. On top of that, the speaker doesn't come with a wall plug, just a wire. They expect you to charge off you're laptop or have a random charging cube laying around. Also the battery life is not that great either. They die fast and cant charge while they are playing. I highly recommend going with the charge 3. It has all the charging components you need, it plays at full volume and still charges, and you can charge you're phone with the charge 3!

Good sound but sleep mode is a problem.

Had to have store open package to determine that the speaker has a aux. input. Using the input because any lag would be unacceptable. The speaker has good sound but goes to sleep after a few seconds of silence. When play starts again the first note is not heard. Should be some way to disable the sleep mode. We cannot use the speaker as intended. Will have to find something else.

Posted .Thank you for your review. Most of our portable speakers feature a power saving mode which will automatically turn the speaker off within 8-10 minutes without any activity. This is to conserve the battery life. And no-there is no option to disable this feature. Our sincerest apology for the inconvenience.
Mult-speaker doesn't actually work

Can't even link two speakers in the same studio apartment room (maybe 20 ft apart) without one of the speakers constantly fading to silent, then coming back, then fading again a few seconds later. Total waste of time.
