I've owned the first generation JBL Flip for several years (maybe "many" is more accurate). It sounded so much better than any of the other powered speaker units I'd heard, and it is still working flawlessly (and holding battery charge) to this day. On a whim, about two months ago, I decided to upgrade to the "4" version. In a word, "Wow!" Yes, the bass is stronger and clearer than version 1; and yes, the highs are clearer, too. What I didn't expect was that the overall clarity across the full sound spectrum would be noticeably clearer as well - but it is. I highly recommend the JBL Flip 4 to everyone.

I got this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend and almost a year later, we still use it all the time. It sounds great and is easy to use.

Great speaker. Doesn't have as much low end as the Bose colorsound, but I purchased because it is more water resistant than current Bose offerings. And trust me, I'm no fan of Bose.

Highly recommended! The bass is amazing and you don’t have to turn it up all the way to hear the music. Great for taking it outdoors for camping or for parties.

So far, it's a good speaker. The battery lasts and it sounds very good. I will see what it's overall lifespan is but so far, so good.

I own the Bose mini SoundLink gen 1 as well as the Bose SoundLink gen1. I love both of them. The batteries over the years don’t hold charges that long so I mainly have them stationary and on ac power. I saw this little guy on sale and figured I‘D check it out. What drew me towards it I was at a restaurant for a Christmas party and they were using the Charge 4’s and linking them throughout the restaurant. I thought that was cool and the sound was amazing. I put this little guy in my bathroom so when I shower and stuff I can rock out to my favorite tunes. For that environment it doesn’t disappoint. I think the bass response is pretty good for such a small footprint. You can feel the side cones moving with the bass. So far I haven’t had to recharge the unit yet, so I’m happy about that. For what I paid(59 bucks) it’s a keeper. I may get another JBL product later just to link the two and see how that works. For me this was a good purchase. Still think Bose is a better speaker but for the money, JBL makes a great product.

We have bought a ton of electronics from Best Buy, been happy with everything but this speaker takes the cake. Incredible quality sound, easy to carry and great deal.

I enjoy being able to listen to my favorite music when I'm busy working around the house and in the garden. This speaker is easy to operate, provides very good quality sound and is small enough to throw in a backpack when on the go. So far is is holding up well with no issues. I would by another for friends/family.
