This is a great portable speaker. It is made by JBL, a good brand, sounds great, has bluetooth, good battery life and is waterproof.

Seriously good sound from this compact unit with appropriate expectations given its size. Enough bass and slightly rolled off treble. Is it audiophile quality? No. But, its a great little option from a sound perspective at this particular price point and form factor. Some fun colors available too! I also have the larger Charge and the sound signature is similar. IPX7 is bonus for your outdoor activities.

Speaker is very clear and very LOUD. Only rated 4 stars because there was no way to control or adjust the bass or anything. Holds decent charge.

JBL makes reliable products. This is no exception. For the price point you cannot beat the quality. Are there better speakers for a higher price? Yes. But the JBL is durable and has a good sound. I'm happy with the purchase.

This review may be biased because I'm a huge JBL fan, but I have nothing but great things to say about ALL the JBL products. For context, I'm a true snob when it comes to what I use to play my music on, so for me, an endorsement like this is not common. To be fair, there are greater ones out there, but they cost a very pretty penny. With JBL's, the price is amazing for the quality of their products, so I highly recommend anything JBL. If it help any, i'm a true blue audiophile, soooo...

Good sound from a small speaker. I don't understand the negative reviews for this speaker. This speaker does exactly what I wanted it to do. We purchased it so we can take it on the plane because it was small and portable. We used it for playing a track while we were recording a video. Inexpensive and decent sound.

I am coming off a long run with Bose equipment, including one of the original Mini-Link devices they brought out a number of years ago, and a Solo-5 for my HDTV. The JBL Flip 5 provides a great level sound for the money. I love the durability as well as the sound quality. The battery duration is a bit less than what I usually require, but for what the Flip 5 is putting out, I can live with it. ALTHOUGH if there is a way to get a longer battery life please let me know. MahalO!

Awesome speaker. I definitely recommend this speaker for people who do a lot of outdoorsy adventures and home. The speaker quality is great and the battery lasts a long time. I use this speaker in my garage, camping, balcony, and etc. It is very loud, has good quality sound and bass.

I have two of these and have been using them daily for over a year! I love the stereo sound when they are both connected. And they are super durable, these have been dropped dozens of times and they still look and sound amazing! Highly recommend!
