Excellent speaker for general use. No frills and easy to use. Sound quality is excellent considering it's size but I wouldn't expect less from JBL.

I bought this because even though I have probably a dozen Bluetooth speakers, none of them could be easily attached to my Peloton bike. I know - first world problem much? The Peloton bike has an Android tablet as its “screen”. The speakers on that tablet are in the middle of the back of said tablet. So when taking a cycling class, the sound is going away from the rider (unless using headphones). A couple FB group members suggested the Flip 3. I had some Best Buy member point certificates & the Flip 5 was on sale, so I bit. This thing has phenomenal sound. The bass actually kicks for such a small unit (that’s what she said). It pairs really easy - I like the rev-up connect sound & the rev-down disconnect. I used it for 1-3 hours daily for 2 weeks without it running out of juice. When I finally did plug it in to charge, the LED indicator showed it still had just under 1/2 charge remaining. So can’t complain about the battery life. And the red color choice I made actually complements the accent colors on the Peloton bike. I didn’t want to spend this much on another Bluetooth speaker, but when it’s going on a $2200 indoor bike, why not? And it’s turned out to not be just another speaker!

So loud for something so small. I mostly use it in my garage while i workout and I can’t even turn it up all the way because I don’t want to annoy my neighbors. It’s great.

These JBL Flip-5 speakers are awesome. Small but powerful and hooking up via Bluetooth is easy. The battery lasts for 6-8 hours and charges with a standard USB-C cable.

I bought a total of 6 of these speakers. The sound quality is amazing and the volume attained is marvelous. They can be linked together wirelessly thus spreading the sound over a large area
