I deliver dry cleaning on a ups type step van and this speaker plays plenty loud enough to hear while the truck is in motion. Great sound & great battery life!

It puts out great sound, deep bass and nice volume (sometimes too loud IMO). I wouldn't expect anything less from JBL.

He uses it during BBQ hangouts and during baseball practice with our son. I can hear the music from outside, it has a great bass and volume.

They are similar in size. The new JBL charge size has increased. I didn't want a lager speaker so I went with the this one.
