Speaker was really good quality Great sound but I could get the same sound out of a cheaper speaker wound up taking it back and getting the smaller JBL speaker so that I could hang it from anywhere with a carabiner

I was originally going to purchase the next bigger size speaker, but it was out of stock. We were getting ready to leave on a trip, so I bought the Flip 5. So glad I did! This little speaker has a fantastic sound and works great with my iPhone and iPad. I have always liked JBL products and they didn’t disappoint with the Flip 5! I even use it around the house, as the sound is equal to my Sonos system and it is much more portable.

Have had several versions of this same model, the Flip by JBL, over the years. All have performed flawlessly. Unfortunately they tend to grow legs when you take your eye off of them. Tennis courts and elsewhere others have claimed them for their own. This one I plan to keep nearby and enjoy for years to come.

I’m happy with this speaker overall. I bought my first one when looking to replace a cheaper Bluetooth speaker that died. I wanted to keep in the $100 range and landed on this one. I bought a 2nd for my daughter and she didn’t want it so I returned it to Best Buy unopened. It’s more than capable of getting louder than I’ll ever need and it’s small enough to not be cumbersome wherever I want to set it down. And, as silly as it may seem, the shoestring has proven to be convenient to hang it up when necessary. Sonically it’s pretty decent but has some issues in my opinion. The midrange is scooped and the low end is pretty artificially hyped. Great for hip hop and more simplistic dance music but A lot of midrange detail is lost due to those two factors. Unfortunately, most frequency information in most other genres of music lies in the midrange. I listen to almost every genre of music so that frequency wonkiness is really frustrating to me. At times the low end is overbearing AND sounds like what it is - a plastic cylinder. Also, the iPhone app is worthless unless you have two speakers. It’s only function is to turn them into a stereo pair. There’s no eq or any other type of processing available. I use the eq in Spotify to attenuate the bottom end. That goes a long way but I generally like to not need to use any eq whatsoever. Not really an option with most music on these speakers. The larger JBL Bluetooth speakers are even more exaggerated in the low end and scooped in the mids. All in all, I’m fine with it but I’ll dump this in a heartbeat if something more natural sounding comes along.

Great sound for the price. Always impressed with JBL. Never disappointed.

Very satisfied. The sound is rich and full. I like that spoken words from video are sharp and clear. Music is very clear and crisp. Volume levels very adequate. I never need to go to full volume. Was easy to pair and once paired it switches between my laptop or tablet by just turning it on. I have three other less expensive bluetooth speakers that I've acquired over the years. This is my go to speaker and only one I use anymore.

The speaker is very cool has nice sound easy to connect to any Bluetooth device

This speaker has it all... waterproof, great batterylife, solid sound quality in multiple ranges... Its actually one of the better Bluetooth waterproof speakers for its size and price point and you can still get it at an amazing price, with a replacement plan. Theres like no downside... its even got an internal daisychain button feature to link it w up to like 10 others i think for a pretty awesome surround style sound mode...
