I had a couple of other portable speakers in hand to compare to (more expensive, mind you) and the Flip 5 here surpassed them in sound quality, most notably. It's also a decent size with good gripping material. Overall, the sound quality is great; loud and crisp.

Quick sync and never a disconnect issue. I can walk outside with phone in pocket and still no issues with speaker inside(25-30 ft) battery lasts for an afternoon of tunes! Very happy with this purchase!

Fabulous sound to include bass, the fact it is easily transported between his two homes a decided party bonus. Speaking of parties, it is easy to envision this speaker making such an appearance as its owner grows older.
