Bass and balance are more tinny, and the bluetooth seems to have more glitches with brief cuts of the sound going out for a second, whereas the Flip 4 rarely did. Not sure if I got a dud or not. I do like the USB-C charger connection versus the one on the flip 4, as I have plenty of those cables.

My son kept using mine so I got him one for Christmas. I've trusted the jbl brand for years. Unfortunately the battery stopped working so I had to replace it. But I still highly recommend JBL.
