This is my first bluetooth speaker. I didn't know what to expect, but it paired with my laptop (portable jukebox) with no issues. For it's size the sound was great, the volume was epic. The packing material serves as a case that seems like it will provide near indestructible protection, although it is somewhat clunky. There was no charger or cable included. A "C" type USB cable is required. The speaker charged quickly from my laptop, I also used a cheap wall charger which also worked fine. I am quite happy with this speaker!

I bought this to replace my nearly 10 year old JBL Flip 2 because the battery only lasts around 30 minutes now. The Flip 5 has a great battery. It lasts at least 10 hours of continuous play. That's the good part. The bad part is it doesn't sound nearly as good as the Flip 2. First of all, it's mono. I knew this going in so it's not than big a deal. Second, it has way too much bass. Even with my equalizer set to the "less bass" or "Flat" settings, the bass overshadows all other frequencies. When compared side by side with the Flip 2, it sounds like part of the music is missing. I intend to keep it because it's a pretty good portable speaker but, I just ordered a new battery (which is a PIA to replace) for my Flip 2.

Amazing speaker we have The JBL charge 4 and it doesn’t even compare quality is great and it gets super loud and can connect to other JBL speakers.

I needed a new speaker to replace another portable that was no longer functioning. I had read reviews of the JBL Flip5 and decided to give it a try! It has exceeded my expectations in everyway! The sound is crisp and clear....as with other reviewers, I'm somewhat at awe with the volume and sound quality this small speaker puts out. Battery life is very good. It last the roughly 10 hours advertised depending on the volume you listen at. Intuitive controls and pairs up easily via Bluetooth. All in all, this is a great speaker and well worth the price.

Had for quite a while, I travel with it love the power bank feature and the sound is great not loud but great quality sound and bass!

These JBL Flip 5 bluetooth speakers are awesome. I can use just one or use both of them with the JBL app and put in stereo mode. Would recommend these speakers to anyone. Great sound and they go where you go. Don't hesitate, get to Best But and pick them up!

I had the flip 4 before this and not much different but I liked the new color choices and the new battery life display. Overall it’s a great sounding speaker for the price. Not too big at all but packs a pretty good sound. Might even work for a small gathering but not ideal for a large party. Overall good portable speaker with great sound quality and battery life

The JBL Flip 5 has the sound and bass quality of a much larger speaker system but is still rugged and small enough to take wherever you need it. Gym work poolside or even in the shower.

I absolutely love this speaker. I use it on my bedside table to listen to podcasts every night, and often to listen to music during the day. I have a larger JBL Extreme speaker as well but find myself using the Flip instead 95% of the time. It’s easy to carry around and the amount of bass that comes out of such a small speaker is really amazing. If you’re considering buying one, just do yourself a favor and get it already. They make fantastic gifts too.

Very loud and good bass for being a small speaker very durable

Flip 5 is the latest version of Flip series portable Bluetooth speakers by JBL. It has loud enough sound with equally good sound quality and very elegant look and design. A light weight and waterproof means an ideal for outdoor, camping, picnic and what not? Charging is fast enough and battery lasts fairly long on a single charge. Pairing with iPhone was easy enough and connected in minutes. With all these features, it is a "No Brainer" to purchase at the price under 100 dollars. Love this product and definitely recommend to everyone.
