Its the same sound quality although the BASS is better. However, unlike the jbl flip 4 this one gas an exposed plug in rather than a cover that the 4 has. It also has one strip that lights up for battery power which is hard to tell where the lights at, instead of the easier 3 dots on the 4. Also instead of a REGULAR charhing cord it has its own cord that is inconvenient. I think other thsn the bass being louder the 4 was designed better.

Battery charges quickly and lasts up to a week with me using it a few hours daily. There is no aux port just so you know. But with all the bluetooth capable devices these days, most won't need the aux port. I hope to keep this for several years before I'll need another upgrade.

I had perviously a UB Boom that I gave to a family member. But this speaker can not compare to it! I’m so happy with this purchase.
