The bass is surprisingly loud for a speaker of this size. Can definitely hear it loud and clear while sitting on the beach. Battery life is pretty great also.

So no better choice than another jbl speaker and it certainly has not disappointed one bit

The sound is better, the battery lasts longer, it has better volume and more bass. Well worth the the cost and upgrade. I still use the Flip tho!

I suggest getting two and pairing them together for a significant improvement in volume space-filling sound. These are quick to charge and seem to hold their charge when not in use for several days. I had to return some UE Megaboom 3 speakers and replaced those with these and couldn't be happier.

Easily goes with me from workshop to work areas around my house. Sound is very good. Battery life has been great so far. Lots of hours on this speaker without a single recharge required.
