On the sides are exclamation marks. If you turn them slightly, though it looks like play buttons. Am I wrong for remembering these also doubled as quick play/pause buttons, at least on older models? Probably meant for the question section, not so much the review question. I asked and kept this thing anyways. I like the variety of colors available. It supports mulitpoint, which is good. (connect two devices at once) I wish I could unpair another device from the speaker itself. I mix up the connections between my laptop, phone, and tablet. If I want to switch the second device, I need that one in my hand to unpair. Minor annoyance. I know I can fix it via the app, but it is what it is. It sounded tinny for videos out of the box-especially on talk only, no music scenes, but it's seemed to correct itself a few days in, now everything I use this for sounds decently good. This fits in most cup holders, which for me is also an odd plus. If you can find it at a decent sale price, I'd highly recommend this.

I was interested in a Bluetooth speaker that had good reviews for audio fidelity AND would accommodate a hardwired connection. According to reviews this one checked the boxes. It's really good but if I could give it 4 and a fraction stars, I would. The sound is a little boomy-not unexpected when you have two passive radiators. But it does get loud and the controls and features are good. Also, assuming you have good source files, hardwiring the speaker definitely makes a difference.

Electronics, stereo sound specifically, have been my first priority since childhood. 5-band radio in 1972, 4 component receiver/speaker/turntable and cassette player in 1980, CD player in college... etc. Now a 60 y.o. golfer looking to boost my iPhone music on golf course. First JBL product. I can say this speaker exceeds all expectations. Bought it for sound on the golf cart/course. Now I bring it everywhere. Porch/fire ring at night. Podcasts/music on my lengthy commute. Have yet to take it golfing. Already lining up my second Flip7. It's a great speaker: great sound... clear up to loud volume. Bass. Durable. Easy to handle. Great build. 14 hr battery life is reliably the performance on a 2 hr charge. A+ all the way around.

Incredibly loud and very nice looking speaker. Gave it to my sister as a last minute birthday gift since she was going to the beach and she absolutely loved it! Water resistant, nice bright colors and very loud! also battery life is great and a very solid speaker.

The JBL Flip 7 has great sound for its size with solid bass and clear audio. It gets surprisingly loud and is perfect for outdoor use. Battery life is good and Bluetooth connects quickly. Easy to carry around and feels very durable. Definitely a great portable speaker for the price.

I love love love this speaker. I love the color especially. I absolutely enjoy the fact that the battery last for soooo long. I honestly can’t remember the last time I charged it. The sound quality is amazing. I have used this speaker all over my house and even near my pool since I know it will be safe if it gets accidentally knocked into the water. I highly recommend it!

Great sounding little portable speaker. Gets pretty loud, but not as loud as I would like. I ultimately returned this and bought the charge6. If portability is priority over volume and bass levels, then the flip7 is the right choice for you. But if you desire bass and volume over portability, then opt for the charge6. Still, the flip7 is a great speaker for its size.

To me the JBL - Flip 7 is a good speaker for its size. The battery life is good for its size. I like the custom sound equalizer setting to fine tuning to my preference. Would buy again.

I am very impressed with the sound quality. Not happy with the battery life though. Also fair warning to buyers it comes with no charging cord at all. I use my speaker mostly at work. I usual have the sound on the higher end and I only get about 5 to 6 hours of battery time.

Cool looking camouflage design. Speaker ia loud, and waterproof. Battery life is really good as well.
