I've been using JBL speakers for years but this is definitely the best quality and longest lasting playtime speaker I've owned. I got it for long bike rides and hanging out outside. I haven't tested the waterproof-ness but i do have it in the bathroom for shower singing. The loudness/crispness/bass are all excellence.

I ended up getting my own and upgrade to the Flip 6. The sound quality is great, good bass and great for bike ride and small gatherings with friends

I took it camping with a family of 20 and we were all able to hear the music loud and clear. I think it’s good for the price, not as loud as the other more expensive ones but did the job.
