The speaker sounds good and the battery life is good. I like that it can stand up to save space on a desk.

I'm an indie producer, so I generally appreciate any device or medium that provide the song in the way the producer wanted the song to jam. This has a nice flat response from what I'm able to hear verses the reference tracks I use in the studio. You really are hearing a lot of small instrumentation without EQ'ing. I've heard the 5, and they are voiced the same, but this has an additional tweeter so you can get those tasty mids and high mids, which are usually left in a blah place with portables. Long story short: independent music producer and multi-instrumentalist is quite happy with the product. I have a trained ear and these sound true to production. **I did order one Open Box - Excellent. 95% of the time, that savings is decent and you are essentially getting a brand new unit. In that case, it either came to the owner defective or they partially blew one of the speakers. It also didn't come with its USB-C. Cable. Whoever took in the return didn't actually look or test the product to give it a label of Open-Box Excellent.

This is my 2nd time owning a JBL Bluetooth speaker. My first was a JBL Charge 3, which was good then, but I believe it got waterlogged and doesn't work anymore. I bought this before summer, expecting my friends and I to hang out a lot and vibe with music, and that's exactly what we did! The charge on it is pretty good but overall a good speaker for it's price.

Honestly, I love JBL speakers, and this one is so portable and ready to use. I gave it for a Christmas gift and they loved it. We took it out and used it immediately around the campfire during Christmas Eve.

I got this speaker because I wanted to listen to music while we were out four wheeling. I even got the bigger one because we have more than 1 four wheeler. This way we are all jamming away having a great time. I also like that this is water and dust proof. anyone that goes four wheeling should really get these.
