When shopping around I was looking at older models until I came across Best Buys open box options. It was a no brainier to get the newer speaker less money than the older model was new.

The thing sounds great and the fact that you can pair it up with other JBL 6s for "party mode" is awesome. Not to mention you can customize the EQ using the JBL app, which isn't necessarily something everyone is as excited about as me. But if you're into music and audio enough to want to play with the EQ, it's a fantastic feature.

Product has a nice build quality and feels like it will hold up well under regular use. I've always felt like JBL has put out some good consumer products and this one hits the mark for the price point it sells at.
