Small Speaker, Large Sound

I needed a portable speaker to use while doing projects around the house. I played podcast, voices were nice clear and intelligible. I then tested play music, specifically Nu Metal (Linkin Park, Papa Roach etc.) , and old school Metal (Metalica, Dio and the like). I streamed this music and found the sound quality decent.

Good speaker poor battery

I’m sure if volume is at middle it might can go 10-12 hours but no one buys portable speakers to listen at those levels do they? Well, I didn’t I work outdoors and need music or my podcasts to keep me going all day. At full volume this thing last 5 maybe 6 hours and then it dies ao I’ve had to keep it charging all day to be able to use it the 10hrs of daily usage I need. Don’t let this thing die and if it does don’t expect to plug it to power and keep going unless again you plan to listen at medium volume. I have not tried using a “fast charger” maybe that could work to keep it powered if it dies and want to go back to full blast but other than battery love the sound and bass this thing puts out for a light and convenient portable speaker.

To add, when charging your speaker, it's necessary that you are using the proper power brick/adapter rated at 5V and at least 3A for 2.5 hours long. I primarily use this to watch anime with my boyfriend (no judgement, okay) and it sounds much better than I expected. Great for music on the go too. JBL in general makes good quality portable speakers, you really can't go wrong with them.

I'm a repeat offender, having owned the Flip 4 and now I've purchased 2 Flip 6's. Very satisfied with what JBL is doing within this size of speaker. Bravo Zulu!!!
