It a fully functional Chromecast speaker but the Google Assistant feature dose not work all the time. The sound is fine for a small room too.

At first glance, you'd think the JBL Link10 bluetooth speaker with Google Assistant would have some sort of compromise. A wireless speaker with good battery life and the Google assistant. Sound quality? Stellar for its size. While bass isn't as deep as you'd get with a large speaker, it's still very deep for something not much smaller than a "tall boy" beer can. Everything I threw at it, from Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" to the soundtrack to Disney's "Moana" to Eminem's "MMLP2" sounded great, with a nice, full sound I've come to expect from James B. Lansing and Company. Google assistant? Works well. The mic array works from other rooms without a problem, in an echoey basement without a hitch, and outside on a windy day from 15 feet. Battery life? I didn't drain it all the way but 6 hours was nothing for it. Another thing this speaker has is an IPX7 rating. I wasn't willing to throw it under water. All in all, great speaker.

I agree with another reviewer that the JBL LINK 10 sounds better. I purchased both and the link 10 sounds more coherent and plays smoother throughout the frequency spectrum. The link 10 also sounds louder than the link 20 at the same volume levels. I tested both speakers with the same 4 songs that I listen to on a consistent basis switching back and forth through the built in chromecast and Bluetooth. The link 20 has a little bit more bass and midrange and some may prefer this warmer sound but the Link 10 still sounds better to my ears. I don't have any issues with the popping noises that another reviewer is experiencing. With updates and firmware upgrades through the google home app, this issue may be fixed down the road. I will be keeping the Link 10 and will return the Link 20 as I already have a JBL Pulse 3 and Charge 2+ which already comes with the charging adapter. Finally, I like the more compact size of link 10 better than the 20 and the 5 hour battery life is a non-issue for me since I will be keeping this mostly plugged in through an outlet.

I would not pay for it full price sound is alright..google assistant is a nice addition, however I would not pay anymore than $69.

Bought this as a gift to my friend who was looking for a google assistant with wireless compatibility. Since it is wireless, the commands will be taken only when it is on or running.

The JBL bluetooth speaker is awesome! Great sound for such a small system! My kids love it. Can take just about any where.

The speaker with the google assistant is great, the only reason for the 4 stars is that it needs a little more bass. Other than that, it works and sounds good.

Purchased for Christmas as a gift and stopped charging after a month purchased another one since I put warranty and this one just stopped connecting to our phone. Never buying again rather pay a little more for better brand and quality

The sound quality is amazing, the bass is on point and not to mention Google assistant is built right in. The ability to communicate and not have to touch the device once is awesome. Helps me with my reminders for work and news as well

Sounds great, but the google software doesn’t work as smoothly compared to the google home speakers.

Works great as an outdoor speaker that works with google home. Obviously you should have a strong home Wi-Fi network to reach outside though.

Great for the kitchen. Used to listen to music, pull weather reports, set timers and ask questions about most anything. Reliable wifi connection, no issues. How did we ever function before these smart devices :-).

The one thing I don’t like about this speaker is that it doesn’t have a skip or rewind button on the device. Otherwise I love it.

Great combo of portable speakers with google assistant. However the microphone is not very great. You have to yell at the product.

bought as promo item, it was a steal. I always use on daily basis with internet. This is much more useful for online radio streaming, news updates from “hey Google” and bluetooth and music

Good sound but Google assistant is not as good as a real Google device

i have severe hearing loss and these sony earphones do the job. i can adjust volume to my necessary level without deafening my wife.
