Stopped working after 6 months

It is also working fine even though the voice recognition is slightly less effective than home mini (less mics ?). Speaker was buggy almost since the first day (hard to turn on, or loosing wifi) so we had to frequently turn it off and turn it on. After 6 months it completely stopped working for no reason. After contacting the customer support of JBL for a repair they offered to ship the product to their warehouse for inspection. After 3 weeks UPS declared they lost the parcel.... It took me more than 20 emails + phone calls and more than 2 months to get a new unit. Customer service was reactive but really not effective to deal with this type of issue. Based on other comments it seems that quality problem is a known issue for this product.

Gave it a 4 star instead of 5 because I feel that the sound quality could be just a little bit better. But overall I love it. It is so handy to have the google assistant built in with the ability to play Google music directly on the speaker. Great for the shower.

It was not. I did hear the crackling when I first setup the speaker, but it was not bad. Over time, the crackling got worse. I just returned my speaker to JBL and I"m waiting on a replacement.

Great for using in the bathroom. Only complaint is that it occasionally disconnects from the internet and requires a reboot. Overall great purchase though, and would definitely recommend to a friend.
