I use these while doing my video editing work and I can hear very clearly the subtle nuances of the sound I create within the video environment and I can distance myself from my work machine to get a fresh cup-o-joe or what ever without having to remove my headphones before I get up out of the chair. How I lived without these before this is now a complete mystery.
