Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the sound quality, comfort, battery life, price, bass, fit, and connectivity of the Live 660NC Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones. They appreciate the crisp sound, comfortable fit, long battery life, affordable price, impressive bass, secure fit, and easy connectivity. However, a few customers have expressed concerns about the volume, wishing it could be louder. There were also a few complaints about discomfort, but these seemed to be related to the initial break-in period.

Interferes with other blue tooth devices when it connects and takes over their connection even though the blue tooth device is designed to handle more than one blue tooth connection at once.

I purchased these headphones after reading a number of articles on relatively good-sounding headphones which would also function well in the gym. They seemed like a somewhat clear choice, until I actually began using them. At $200, these sound significantly worse than my $100 wireless earbuds, make my ears incredibly hot very quickly, and seem to have a number of bugs. The ambience/passthrough mode has a buffeting effect which gives me a headache, and the noise cancelling mode doesn't always work. When it is working, the level of cancellation varies, resulting in random volume changes during listening. In conclusion, I don't think I'd ever pay more than $40 for these. Even if the ambience and NC issues were fixed, the audio quality isn't worth more than maybe $60-70.

We're here to help with your JBL Live 660NC. We recommend trying a different cable and checking the port because sand or dirt can get into it. Clean if needed with compressed air or a toothpick. Try to charge your speaker overnight or for at least 8 hours. If the issue persists, please contact our customer support for assistance. JBL

Great sound, sound cancelling is wonderful, but after 3 months the left speaker makes awful crackling noise when the headset moves. It's gotten so bad that even turning my head makes the noise. Shame. Great sound, built like junk.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Please try a wired connection using the audio cable and connect it to your source device. You can also try other devices to connect the headphones via Bluetooth and audio cable. It is also necessary to reset the headphones by pressing and holding both volume buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. Remove or forget the earbuds from the list of paired Bluetooth devices to pair them again. If you need more help, please reach out to our customer support. JBL

Very cheaply made. 1 month in and without even dropping them the metal clips are sliding off, plastic around the hinges are cracking and one of the speakers is going out. JBL warranty apparently doesn’t cover any of this because they just claim they were dropped or mistreated even tho they weren’t. Very disappointed.

Just not what I’m looking for. For the price there are better options. Your better off putting in the extra money and getting some Sony. These taught me the difference between live noise canceling and active noise canceling. These are only good at dampening continuous droning noises and still only a bit.

Great sound quality, good in loud places

I was looking for some new headphones and had come from JBLs before, so I thought I'd give these a shot. I saw them on display and when I listened to the example song they had, I was hooked. They sound great and the adaptive noise cancelling is awesoms--I can just vibe! They're wonderful for noisy or cold environments and they're also really comfortable. They might be kind of tight on some people, but they are adjustable. The only gripe I have is the automatic pausing feature. If you take them off, they payse whatever you were listening to. This would usually be fine, but when I take them off, I turn them off. I usually just take off one side to listen to someone/something and then put it back on and the beep can be annoying. I think there's a way to turn it off, like through the app, but I haven't figured it out yet. Overall, I love them so much!

    Great headphones for $100

These are very comfortable and sound great. It's listed as a "multi-device" and talks about how two different devices can be connected to it at the same time, but that's strictly bluetooth. If you have a cable wired in, the BT aspect is disabled and it only works on that one device its wired to. That being said, you don't have to turn them on for the wired connection to work, so if the battery dies, you still have working headphones on wire. But turning them on while wired does enable the noise cancelling effect, which is super nice in its own right. I don't think these are worth $200, but it looks like they're constantly on sale for $100 and that's the perfect price for what you get.
