As is the case with all JBL products, the sound volume and quality was terrific. There were also some very good design choices, such as wheels and including a USB port on the backside that provided power. That said, the product is unacceptable for anything where you need to show video of people speaking such as presentations or a television broadcast. The Bluetooth connection has a half second delay between the video and the audio. If you want to use a wired audio connection to avoid the Bluetooth problem, most larger modern TVs only offer audio out over optical. To connect audio over optical, you need a converter since the party box only accepts analog audio. Even with a converter, when using optical audio, you can't control the volume on the Partybox using the remote control for the television, and the partybox does not come with its own remote control for volume. You can control the volume on the partybox using an app on your smart phone, but there is a noticeable delay between changing volume settings using the app and when that volume change is processed by the partybox. At a minimum at this price point, a partybox specific remote control would have to come with the partybox for me to recommend it. JBL should also add an additional USB port and a direct optical connection.
