It's easy to bring anywhere and is absolutely incredible for a cabin getaway, A beach day, or a house party! We still haven't even gotten half way with volume because it's so powerful!!

As a single standalone speaker, it has great bass, gets plenty loud, and has that fun party-speaker feel without being huge. For the price, I would say it is okay. Not a steal, but reasonable for the sound quality and size. My issue was not the sound. The sound is very good. The problem was the overall ease of use. Pairing with Alexa was one of the major deal breakers for me. I could never get it to work. I had a much cheaper pair of party speakers that handled basic Alexa/Bluetooth use with no issue, while the JBL setup was more complicated and still would not connect the way I needed it to. I also had the same frustrations with the app and user interface that I had with other JBL PartyBox speakers. The app was not always friendly to use, did not always log in correctly, and sometimes had to be restarted multiple times just to get things working. That becomes a bigger issue if you want to use more than one speaker or control speakers separately, because without the app, those separate controls are basically nonexistent. For a speaker at this price point, I expected the software side to be smoother and more reliable. As a single speaker, I really like the sound. As part of a multi-speaker setup with Alexa/app control, the user experience fell short for me.
