I wanted an upgrade to my $120 no-name PA speaker that I bought on Amazon to use for home karaoke. While this is a nice (and flashy) speaker, I ended up returning it because for karaoke my no-name speaker sounds better. I originally tried it with the professional mic I have (connected to a mixer) and it sounded somewhat tinny and empty. No matter the adjustments I made to the equalizer and gain I just couldn't get it to sound as rich as it does on my no-name speaker. So I bought the JBL Partybox dual wireless microphones thinking they would work better, as they're made for the machine. They sounded even worse. The JBL mics sounded better with my no-name speaker as well. I really didn't want to return this speaker because it looks cool and it does sound okay (and gets really loud!). If I wasn't using it for singing it would be great. I went back and forth on whether or not to return it and tried everything I could think of to make it work. I'm sure I would have kept it if I wasn't comparing it to what I already had. But there was no way I could justify paying so much more money (even on sale) for something that wasn't truly an upgrade. If you're looking for a loud party speaker to play music, I think you'll be happy with this. If you're looking for a karaoke machine and care about quality vocal output, I don't recommend it.

I had to buy two because they sound so good!! I use to be all about Bose but JBL has stepped up big time. Sounds amazing!!! My go to speaker for party’s, or even hooking to the tv for amazing sound when watching movies.

Its a very poor Investment, but such a great time! If you have the money to blow on it then why not? You will not regret this purchase.

Great speaker for parties. Lots of bass and general volume. I bought it as an open box. It's expensive to pay full price, so I recommend waiting for it to go on sale.

This thing comes out of the box ready to jam. Easy setup. Great bass. Highly recommend!
