I bought this as a X-Mas gift for my girlfriend and she absolutely loves it. It is very loud, the colors and patterns are nice and enjoyable to watch. It seems to have good battery life and no problems connecting to Bluetooth, so she loves it and therefore I love it too!

BestBuy Manager aided me in selecting a mobile sound speaker that would produce real loud tones. He was right. It wirelessly connects to any device via bluetooth and plays really loud similar to that of your car speakers set to max. Its visual effects are easily adjusted with an phone app which is free to download that provides options to change visual effects in conjunction with the music of choice. It does hold up a charge, I believe 4 to 5 hours. All changes such as volume control, visual effects can be manually adjusted onto the speaker system or via phone app.

whats great about this is it's "surround sound" with the cheaper models as soon as you move away from being directly in front of the speaker you use 75% of the sound NOT with this one. 360 degrees sound is the SAME. It lights up which is great for parties and looks cool. Very happy with sound quality also once the thing is charged take it where ever you want. I put this speaker in my kitchen and you can hear my music throughout the entire house. My only complaint at $200 dollars its pretty exspensive

This bluetooth, portable speaker is compact and easy to travel with. The sound is great, and it includes an added light show feature with various light effects to choose from. The free app makes for simple operation.

This speaker was purchased as a Christmas present for our 15 year old, to listed to music when he's out and about, such as the beach, soccer fields, etc. We currently own a JBL Charge and love that speaker, especially the convenience of being able to plug in a phone to the USB port to charge the device. The Pulse is sound is just as good as the Charge, but with the addition of the "light show", which is actually kinda cool. The user can switch through various light show modes, or even turn off the lights to increase the battery run time. This is also handy if you were to use this to listen to music at night in bed, as the lights are enough to be distracting if one was trying to fall asleep to music. Sound is decent from a speaker of this size. The highs are "decent" as is the bass. Don't expect sound like you would from a bookshelf speaker, as the drivers are small. The only feature I wish it has was the USB charging port like the Charge. So JBL, maybe a Pulse 2?

JBL is probably one of the last good brands emerging in this market. They are doing pretty good on electronics and sounds. Those speakers speaks by itself, they are very good, have a good sound quality and you don't have to spent a lot of money compared to Beats or Bose. The new feature compare to others is the LED lighting and this is not only for fancy. The LED also tell you when the device get connected, the volume level ... It's a feedback to yours operations. The LED patterns can be changed, you also have controls to turn ON/OFF, volume and lights that tell you the battery charge status. So far I used for more than 10hours without charged. Super recommended!

I bought this for my son going to college. Sound quality is exceptional, design is good and the ability to change colors is a plus. BT was easy to set up an the app was easy to navigate.

I like that the pulse portable Bluetooth speaker is small for my "closet" like bedroom, but it works great, sound is good, pulsates to music, Bluetooth connects, light show entertains!

We bought this speaker in July, so we haven't had it that long, but it works great. It syncs easily to both of our phones, and we can switch playing between the both of them with no issue. We wanted a portable speaker to use while cleaning or having a get-together and this completely fulfills our needs and wants. You really can't beat the price for the sound quality and the volume. Our house is 2300 sq ft and we can hear it in every room.

When I saw this speaker I knew I had to have it. At $200 it's not for everyone or for every budget, but it's such a cool piece to have. All of my friends are always complimenting me on it and want one themselves. It's great to have for parties or to take to the pool. Sound is great, battery life is impressive for a speaker with a built-in LED light show, and it's easy to connect your phone/computer with. Would definitely recommend!

I purchased this speaker to use for community functions. The sound is loud and clear, Bluetooth works great, GREAT battery life and set up was so easy. The kids loved the lights! Worth the cost

This will surly turn the party up, literally. The two speakers on this bad boy are POWERFUL!!!!!! Loud and great quality music can be heard where ever you put this and the light show is just the icing on the cake, so many different patterns to choose from. This is must have for all party's

My wife bought me this as a gift. It is GREAT! Everything about it is powerful, the volume, the bass, the sound quality. The light patterns are ok, but not quite as distinct as you're lead to believe. That being said, the free app that's available is a must. It allows pattern change, and more control over the speaker itself.

LOVE IT! The colors and different patterns you can make are mesmerizing. The sound quality is so much better than I expected as well! Sounds better and gets louder than my similar sized UE BOOM speaker

I love it so much. The sound is great it gets pretty loud and the light show is just a fun feature for a night out at the beach or a campfire or any dark setting it makes it more fun to look at. But for a day time event you can keep the lights off which is great cause then it kind of resembles the beats pill except that it's not as rounded and thin as the pill. But it's still a portable gadgets that's worth having. There's even a jbl app you can load to change the settings on your speaker while playing music you don't even have to touch it. How great is that?!

The lights on the JBL Pulse catches everyone's eye at first, but they've also been impressed by the sound. It can get pretty loud, but the bass isn't great. This can easily be solved by placing it near a wall or in a corner to get the sound to bounce off it. All of the controls are easily accessible on the top of the speaker (in a vertical position). You can turn on Bluetooth, cycle through the different light shows and colors by simply sliding your finger over the buttons. If you download the JBL Pulse app, you can control it from your phone as well as play music installed in your phone. The battery life seems to be pretty good, but not as long as described (I think 10 hours). That might be the case if you kept it on, then turned it off and used it again without charging, but I don't think it'll go 10 hours straight. You can turn off the lights to preserve batter life so that's a good option. It can still run for a good 3 hours straight, which is more than enough for a small house party. It can play and charge at the same time, but don't let it drain all the way because it may not have enough juice to connect to your phone and play music even when it's charging. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase, considering it was $50 off when I bought it. For the price point of around $150 and the quality, I say it's a good buy and better than spending $200 to $300 for the latest JBL or Beats Pill. The lights alone separates it from those and it's also cheaper.

First of all, this device has really good sound! Definitely most important when it comes to speakers. The lighting effects are a very cool feature. We've used it a few times for holiday parties and the kids all love it. Easy set-up and control from the iPad also helps makes this a great speaker.

So I bought this for my friends birthday. After me jabbing owned a beat by dr dre PILL I wanted to take a look at something different. And boy this item does not disappoint. It is very loud. Sounds great for the out doors when camping or any out door activity. The lights are awesome but have to be dark to enjoy it to its full potential. Would recommend this to anyone.
