I've had these for a year now and are by far the best headphones I have owned. Battery has shown no signs of slowing down. For me they fit perfectly in my ears and are comfortable. I have never had a problem with them falling out during a workout and I sweat like a pig. I have to admit something....they went through washer and lived!!!! With no consequences! Sound isn't the loudest nor is the bass. But for my preferences its good. I noticed Spotify is quieter than YouTube. Just an observation of mine.

I can’t say these are even worth the sale price. The store rep suggested these after I returned a different brand. Like previous reviews, I agree the fit is not for me. They fall out even with the wing attachment. The sound is better than mediocre. Some other buds have an app to improve the sound. These may be better with that option. I also have issues with continued connection. If I put my hood over my head I get an annoying In and out. I still have a few days before my return option is out. I can’t see keeping them. If by chance I can’t return them I’ll try a different manufacturer. These may work for some, just not for me.

    Jaybird vs JBL

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I listen: Podcast, Music, Audiobook (Music> Electronic>Trance and subgenres) How often I use: Everyday around 7-8 hours Ear size: tiny (small) I used to have JBL mini and I used them ~ 3.5 years with no issue. The battery life had never diminished yet right earbud had loose connection thats why I needed to buy a new one. Youtube tech influencers said all the good things about Jaybird X4 so I decided to buy one. The same day I ordered JBL mini2, I think you get my point. I am returning Jaybird right now. JBL has lighter weight and definitely made for tiny ears. Buds are smaller than the previous version, no more ear pain. Material seems way better than X4. You can see my Jaybird X4 review as well.

    Disappointed in sound quality

They have the worst directions I’ve ever come across and the sound was nowhere near what I expected based on all the reviews I read from top rated sources like CNET, PC magazine, etc. The Tarah’s, which are currently $20 less have much better sound and have an app to adjust it to your liking. They do have a longer battery life, but the sound quality doesn’t make up for it. Save your money on this one, unless you like your music with a lot of treble and no base.

    Not impressed, in fact disappointed.

I have had jaybirds for going on 6 years or more. I have had several different models and never had a problem or complaint. I usually wear them over the top of my ear because I wear them under a bandana, well they changed the design of them which I thought would make them harder to do so but after research I see that I was wrong. So instead I thought I would try jbl thinking I have always heard good things about them. Of course they can't be worn the way I was hoping which is my fault for not researching but my jaybird x3 quit charging suddenly so it was a quick insurance claim without research. The sound quality on the the jbl is inferior to the jaybirds x3. Less bass and less volume. I read that I can use a third party app to control the equalizer but yeah no thank you. Jaybird has their own app which works great. I was very hesitant to switch and now I regret my decision. I wear my earbuds all day every day at work. I need a good comfortable quality sounding earbuds. I will exchange for the jaybirds once I get a chance but I live an hour away from a beat buy so I will have to wait. The battery life is good though and they charge quick. I guess I just expected /hoped for more. I rated them a one just because I am so disappointed in the sound comparison. Like little to no bass. I bought cheap iclever earbuds on Amazon (great brand for the price Btw) and they have better sound quality and bass then these and I paid like 10$ for those. Oh well I learned my lesson. Do research. But I do like the buttons.

Does not work with Android 10

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

These headphones do not work with Android 10. They won't pair. If you don't believe me, do some research before you think about buying these headphones if you use a device which runs Android 10. With that being said, I did get to confirm that they would indeed pair with a non Android 10 device. What little time I got to spend with them before returning them was disappointing in its own right. To start with, they struggled to stay in my ears and I found myself needing to adjust them to keep the sound quality centered as necessary. And, when they were centered properly, the quality was poor on its own. It's definitely not what I would expect out of a product I spent $100 on whose sole function is to emit sound at a satisfactory quality. Needless to say, these were promptly returned. My primary device is an Android 10 device and I'm certainly not changing my device to accommodate these earphones. I probably would have returned them had they paired easily. Also, according to JBL, they are aware of the problem and have no intention of supporting Android 10. So, my parting shot is that I have no intention of supporting JBL. Ever. These headphones needed to perform 2 functions: 1. Connect and pair with my bluetooth device. 2. Transmit decent audio into my ears. They fail at both tasks and so I find little reason for them to exist. Save your money and spend it elsewhere.

    Not Worth It!!!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Bought these a couple days ago and happy to purchase new wireless headphones. After I opened the box I tried them on using Bluetooth to connect to Pandora, set up was quick as expected however..... Putting on the headphones was cumbersome to say the least. They fit but when inserting into my ear I couldn't hear much music, all I could hear was this annoying feedback type sound which hurt my ears. After several minutes of maneuvering in my ear I finally was able to hear music but the sound was more high than anything and couldn't hear any bass. Come to find out, you can fully insert the ear piece into your ear, if you do you'll hear very faint music and definitely hear the annoying feedback type sound. The only way you can listen to music is if you lightly put the ear piece into your ear and carefully maneuver, any type of force of putting it into your ear you won't hear any music. Oh...and these headphones do slip out of your ear. I work out everyday and was frustrating to grab and re-insert. And if you are lucky enough to hear any music, its high pitched with no bass. The only time you'll hear quality sound music is when your bending over to pick something up and once you stand up, its high pitched again. Don't waste your time looking at this product or your money, definitely not work it. I plan to take them back and find a replacement or down grade to Skull Candy headphones, they sound better than the JBL's. Good luck on your search for wireless in-ear headphones.

Purchased these headphones to use while exercising. Not a great fit and low volume. Biggest issue was they stopped working a year and a half after purchase. I contacted JBL to fix the issue and their reply was for me to buy a new pair with a 20% discount because the year warranty had run out. Don’t buy these unless you plan on wasting another 100$ a year later. DO NOT BUY THESE!

    Completely unresponsive on 6th day

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Have used this set gently only in home for 5 days, no jogging or sweating, w/an iPhine 8. On 6th day of owning they now refuse to pair though fully charged. Blue light is on, and stays on. Can’t turn the earbuds off. When middle buttin pressed it usually says “Headphones On, Battery good. Connected” or “Discinnected. Headogine Off.” Now nothing. Unresponsive to center button press. JBL where is quality control? No wonder these were on sale: they're junk. Additionally, very slow to respond (when they worked) to microphone dictation on phone, almost useless due to delay. Callers say they heard a lot of static and noise w/any small movement. These would be returned for microphone noise even if they weren't dead. Used 2 sizes of ear pieces and was able to fit well for noise reduction, but they become uncomfortable after 2+ hiurs.

Never have I ever had a problem with my apple ear buds falling out off my ears during anything I did. Then I use the JBL’s and they fell out more times then I can count!!! I wasn’t even doing anything that extreme! I was literally just walking around and they constantly fell out. I’ve tried every single size and combination of sizes and they all have the same result. But the worst part is the price!! I got them as a Christmas present, I figure they were about $20-$30, but no! They were 100 fricking dollars!!! Who in their right minds who buy this if you could just get ear buds for $95 dollars cheaper!!!!

    Quit working within weeks

I am a runner and these quit working in a few short weeks. I called JBL and they gave me a very hard time and finally agreed to take them back. When I got a the new pair, which took weeks and weeks, they also quit working in less than a month. I gave up because I didn’t not want to go through their terrible customer service again. Maybe it was the sweat from running but they are advertised as sweat resistant. Regardless, do not waste your money on these,

Got these for listening to music while running. Worked four or five times until it quit pairing with my iPhone 8. Had not changed anything on my phone or operating system. Now it won’t even let me power it down. Stays on until it runs itself dead. I recharge it, and it’s the same thing all over, won’t pair and won’t power off. Very poor quality. Will be asking for a refund.
