It is Amazing, it is loud and portable and worth buying.

Pros: for the price I paid ($144) vs functionality and performance the speaker is a good deal. Pairing with other JBL 5 speakers is great. Battery has staying power. Cons: Since the bass speaker is on one side of the unit and the treble on the other, when you listen in closer proximity (living room), you hear A LOT more bass or treble depending upon your location to the left or right of speaker. Its not an even blend. If you're outdoors and you're are well to one side or behind the speaker the sound is terrible - all muddled bass. You must be straight on, about 15 feet away and you'll get the perfect sound. If you're budget max is $150 this is the box, if you have $220+ look to Bose soundlink Series II with 360 sound... Now I get their pitch!

I had a jbl extreme and I loved it. It had great bass. The treble is decent but could be a little better. In the future it would be great if the bass and treble could be controlled.

I have 2 coworkers with charge 5s they led me to getting 1 for myself. Our 3 JBLs spread around our welding and fabrication shop fills the whole building with music. Being able to connect all 3 with the party mode is incredible.

Great sound quality as well with the longevity of the battery life it provides an extended battery life compared to most speakers.

My work partner (paramedic here) has an older model we use on the ambulance between calls. It always had great sound. In September, my home was broken in to, and a subpar Bluetooth speaker was one of the things stolen. Summer has rolled around and I need a new one. After comparing this and the Sony model online, I picked this one up. IT DOES NOT DISAPPOINT. I use it mainly while gardening. Streaming everything from Hip Hop to Classical. Super clear. Great acoustics across the board. JBL has put out a great product, at a reasonable price, that rivals, if not outshines, similar products at a much higher price range.
