Seeing many positive reviews for this product blows my mind... I have had nothing BUT problems... Since day 1, I should have returned the speaker when I had a chance. If I had to summarize this product in one word, other than garbage, it would be "unreliable". There is ALWAYS an issue.... EVERYDAY! Won't connect, wont stay connected, wont turn on, wont turn off, volume doesn't work, and on and on.... I am beyond frustrated with JBL and will never purchase one of their products again....

Loved this little speaker that provides much louder and clearer sound than would be anticipated from such a small form factor. Used it all summer long by the pool, and it definitely got wet, knocked over and had other things spilled on it but it kept working great! It was really easy to sync it with another Flip 5 for stereo sound as well.

For the price, the speaker is pretty great. It’s loud, and small, waterproof (haven’t tested that yet), and I was very surprised with the bass quality. I usually have the volume half up, with the speaker in the middle of the room. The start up sound is quiet, the lights on the back stay pretty hidden, and it doesn’t roll around. It was also super easy to connect to my iPhone

I love this little speaker!! Sounds great for what it is…. Quick sync and never a disconnect issue. I can walk outside with phone in pocket and still no issues with speaker inside(25-30 ft) battery lasts for an afternoon of tunes! Very happy with this purchase!

Ok I wasn't a big fan of Bluetooth speakers since I hadn't found anything that was affordable, however this JBL Flip 5 is DA Bomb! Great fidelity from such a small package for the office, home, or garage, sounds so great in my garage! ;-) If you want a great portable Bluetooth speaker you can't go wrong with this purchase for the price!

I used this little guy for a video presentation to a room full of hearing impaired Veterans. Even those guys and gals were impressed with the sound coming from such a small device. My only complaint is there should be a compartment or carry bag with a place to keep the charging cable.

Absolutely amazing little speaker! My sister has the larger speaker version (and much more expensive) and I wanted something similar. Bought this gem on sale and I couldn't be happier. Great sound! Long lasting battery and easy to use. Highly recommend!

My music was interrupted with static quite often..

My 13 Year Old Youngest Son did his research and made an informed decision. Fabulous sound to include bass, the fact it is easily transported between his two homes a decided party bonus. Speaking of parties, it is easy to envision this speaker making such an appearance as its owner grows older.

For the sale price of $70, this has been a great buy for me. I had a couple of other portable speakers in hand to compare to (more expensive, mind you) and the Flip 5 here surpassed them in sound quality, most notably. It's also a decent size with good gripping material. Overall, the sound quality is great; loud and crisp.

The JBL Flip 5 Bluetooth speaker is amazing, it was easy to pair with any Bluetooth devise and set up. The sound it produces is amazing, you wouldn't know it was coming from such a small speaker if you were in another room. We used it constantly on our vacation, at the beach, near the pool, and in the condo. Love it, would recommend purchasing it to anyone.

I got it for 69.99, the fidelty is great, same goes for the build quality. When I unboxed it I couldnt get it out of my hands. I suppose its why they call it a “flip”. Anyways you wont choose wrong if you get this speaker

Excellent quality and sound. I purchased for my son and wanted something durable. I was not disappointed. He takes it into bathroom for showers. The moisture has had no impact. He's taken on several trips, camping, etc. It was performed very well. I would highly recommend.

I’ve been buying JBL Bluetooth speakers for years I just couldnt pass up such a good BF deal so I bought 2, one for me and one to give away at Christmas. The sound on these speakers is amazing and really long battery life.

This I one of the best speakers if not the best for its size! The sound is great and it’s gets pretty loud! Very good overall sound quality! Could have a little more bass but that’s about it. The mid and highs are very good! Definitely buy one if you want a loud clear speaker!

This speaker is the newest JBL portable speaker. It is smaller than the former model but it packs a great punch. Has nice subwoofers on the side, is water resistant/proof and has an awesome Bluetooth range. We take it to the pool and I bring it poolside although my phone is on the table 20-30 feet away and it works great.

With summers bringing fires in the fire pit, I wanted to take my music outside so I researched carefully and bought this mid-priced Bluetooth speaker. In addition to price I looked at size, water resistance, quality of speaker and distance it would carry from the internet connection. For me, this was a great selection.

Brought this for myself and its the best thing. Love it ! Its been almost a year and its still playing as if i purchased it today. I keep it in my second part of the bathroom ( Jack and Jill ) and the bass is outstanding. I would recommend this to a friend. Thank you Best Buy...
