Had to purchase a replacement sub woofer for our surround sound system. JBL makes a great product. Sound is perfect and the sound adjustments on back are a good feature to adjust to your room.

Good bass. Does what it should. Bought as a certified open box for large discount. Had light exterior scuffing that I don’t mind at that price.

I read a lot of opinions on forward firing vs down firing on cement slab floors. Our HT is in our basement so we have LVP over a cement basement floor. It is paired with a Yamaha Dolby Atmos AVR and I could not be happier with the sound performance. I have the crossover set at 80Hz on the sub as well as in my AVR. The sub volume is set to about 70% (rep at the Best Buy store was spot on--he said with this sub on a slab floor, 70%-80% would be the ideal level). My only complaint is I have to set my AVR sub level to +10 db, but I suspect this has to do with the room materials. We don't listen to music on the system. We did a Star Wars marathon and the lows hit right where I remember them. We have the unit placed about 2/3 between the LF and the screen facing outward, approx 6" from the wall to allow the rear ports to move air. The bass is uniform with no indication of direction. Very satisfied with the purchase.

The product itself is great however, I purchased this item in December 2025, and despite four separate escalations with your support team, the ongoing issue of my purchase not displaying in the app remains unresolved. Each representative assured me this matter was corrected and promised a follow-up call; not one of which ever happened. This continued lack of accountability and failure to deliver on commitments reflects extremely poor operational standards. It’s not just disappointing, it’s unacceptable from a company of your scale. I manage networks of consumers and industry professionals who rely heavily on credible recommendations, and right now, your brand’s credibility is in serious question. If this situation isn’t rectified immediately and with proper communication, I’ll be submitting a formal report to the Better Business Bureau and publishing a detailed review outlining my entire experience. I’ve supported your brand for years, but my business and the business I influence will move to a competitor if this pattern continues.

This is a great subwoofer for the price range. Nice lows. Easy to set up. Good looking. The price was even better given Best Buy’s sale and the ability to apply reward certificates. An associate even carried it out to my car!

... That's how I know this was worth it. Ive been through some cheap, entry level subs before. I now regret the years lost watching movies without a quality subwoofer. Bought this open box, saved 25%. Works beautifully. Very happy with the JBL line

Im sure would have been a 5 Star, so i put 5. Never got a chance to use it, as i didnt realize its not bluetooth ready. Wired only. So I returned sadly, and decided to bite the bullet and spend a little more to upgrade my soundbar to the JBLBar1000MK.

Solidly built, plenty of power for my apartment. Helps to fill out the low freqs for 2001 a Space Odyssey.

Overall a good sounding subwoofer for your home theater. I got this to replace my JBL es250p as the amp failed. This appears to be the newer version as I still wanted a 12 inch sub. Bass is good. I would have liked the system to have an on off switch to turn the amp off when not in use.

This JBL bass speaker absolutely rocks! The low-end is super deep, clean, and powerful — you can feel every beat without it sounding muddy. I hooked it up to my home setup, and it instantly made movies and music sound way more alive.

just as it looks great sound..i would recommend this to some body.. mjust make sure u get a cable to set it up with mind didnt.. i used a rocket fish

The subwoofer has really good sound. It is plenty loud for my tastes and was simple to hook up and use. It is a nice upgrade from my old one.
