Awesome light weight headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using the JBL Tune 235NC for a little while now, and honestly, they’re pretty solid for the price. The sound is clear with surprisingly good bass, and the noise cancelling works well enough to block out background chatter or traffic. I like how light and comfortable they feel, even during long listening sessions. Battery life is great—I get a few days of use without having to recharge the case. The only small issue I’ve had is that the Bluetooth connection can occasionally cut out for a second, but it doesn’t happen often. Overall, they’re a great deal, especially if you catch them on sale.

Great Product, but still a little disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TLDR; Great sound quality, Great fitting (even for something with cauliflower ear), Great for working out, Great build quality and design. Minor connection issues and very niche issues with customization within the JBL headphone app. I have been using JBL products for a while (6 years). I have 3 different Charge 3s, the JBL Extreme 3, and some basic JBL wired headphones. The Bluetooth speakers are great products and have lasted much longer than expected. I am notoriously rough, and borderline destructive with electronics, so all of these speakers have had a rough and long life. I previously owned a pair of JLab's Epic Air Sport wireless headphones. I have been hesitant to use any headphones that do not secure or attach themselves due to using them for working out and the associated risk of falling out. In addition, I have cauliflower ear which makes regular earbud retention a little more difficult. JLab at the time was the only wireless headphones that met my requirements. But after testing a pair of my wife's in-ear earbuds and having no issue with retention or fitting, I decided to upgrade to a new pair of wireless headphones. Being impressed with JBL's previous products, I decided to get a pair made by JBL. The Vibes were too small and didn't really fit, the Endurances were similar to the JLabs I had, and wanted something sleeker and simple. The Tunes 230 fit well and met the requirements I was looking for. Out of the box, they fit great. I took them to the gym the next morning to test their retention while working out. They were great, even when running on a treadmill or outside on a trail. I even tested them while doing some GHD Sit-ups and Back Extensions, no movement or any sense they may fall out. Saturated in sweat and still working as normal/designed. The sound quality is great! Just like the speakers, I was impressed with the quality of sound and the ability to adjust with the equalizer. Good highs, and noticeable impressive bass for an earbud. The build quality is great! Solid and simple design. Again, I am little rough with electronics, and I have dropped both the earbuds individually and the case with the earbuds inside. Other than an aesthetic scuff, there was no noticeable damage and they still work just the same. The main issue with these earbuds is the connectivity and customization. Note: I have ensured the JBL software is the most up-to-date. The headphones do not always automatically connect to my phone. I have to end up putting them back into the case, closing the case for a moment, and then taking them back out again in order to get them to connect. This is extremely frustrating. With the speakers, turn them on and they connect. With JLab's earbuds, take them out of the case and they connect. I do not know what the issue is with JBL's earbuds, but they do not always initially connect automatically. In addition to connectivity, customization is limited. While the JBL Headphones app is great and offers more than enough, you are unable to customize headphones for individual use. I know this is a very niche situation, but as great as everything else is, it would seem this customization would be possible. I put the headphone in to listen to music, not the surrounding environment. And in addition to the no noise canceling feature while using only one earbud, you are unable to adjust the equalizer as well. I feel like the few issues they do have are not deal breakers, but I am a little disappointed in JBL. Before buying these earbuds, JBL was the pinnacle of wireless/Bluetooth sound and audio, something I would without hesitation recommend to friends, continue to buy their products myself, and be on the lookout for their newest greatest innovative products. But these issues feel like an unfinished product and would suggest JBL is lowering its standards. Even though JBL's lower standards still may be higher than the competition's, I am now skeptical and not nearly as adamant about JBL.

Best on budget option by FAR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great earbuds, I had one myself and had to give it one to my whole family, not joking, great quality & awesome battery life, sometimes it would connect with the buds inside the case but you just have to reorganize them in there. noise canceling is not peak, but lets be honest if you want noise canceling get an over the ear headphones

There are Better Options out there
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Some Pros: sound quality is solid, bass is good, battery life is great. Only have to charge with regular use every few months. Cons: too much bounce & it falls out of my ears (not good for running), disconnects frequently from my phone, no warning when battery is running low or is about to shut off. I've been keeping these in my car as spare headphones in case I forget my regular headphones (Beats Pro in-ear) & it does the job, but there are better options out there at this price point.

Posted .We're sorry to hear about what happened. Here are some cleaning steps for re-establishing charging: If you have charging problems, the first step is to always clean all contact points, on each earbud and on the charging case. You will need: cotton cloth or makeup swab, cotton swabs, and rubbing alcohol. Also a pencil with an eraser for further cleaning. Use a cotton swab with some rubbing alcohol to clean the charging terminals of the headphones. Wipe the contact pins in the charging case with a clean cotton swab. The swab can be slightly moistened with rubbing alcohol, but it is important that the interior is completely dry before closing the box. Use the cotton cloth and wait for it to dry.

Sound Meh, Price Good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To say that these ear buds are out of this world would be overstating. Te sound quality is ok. The bass is somewhat lacking (though decent for what I paid for these). The tone adjustment through the app really does not do much. I did have to install the largest ear pads to help seal in the sound and that helped. They do last quite a while (I use them while washing my car and they only go down to about 80% after two hours). But I do like the fact that these are handy to have in a snap compared to my over-the-ears headphones (which are bulky and easily show). Would I recommend these? Yes and no. If you are looking for the best sound, then no. If you are looking for a value priced set of wireless ear buds (I paid $50 on sale), then yes, these are worth it.

Crystal-Clear Sound and All-Day Comfort A++
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using my JBL wireless earbuds ( Tune 235NC) for a few Months now, and I'm genuinely impressed! The sound quality is top-notch—clear highs, punchy bass, and a balanced midrange that makes everything from podcasts to playlists sound amazing. They connect quickly and stay connected without any annoying dropouts. One of my favorite features is how comfortable they are. I can wear them for hours without any discomfort, and they stay securely in place whether I'm working out or commuting. The battery life is also a huge plus—easily lasts through long days, and the charging case is super convenient. The touch controls are responsive and intuitive, and I appreciate the built-in mic for calls, which has worked flawlessly. Overall, these earbuds offer premium performance at a great price. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable pair of wireless earbuds with great sound and solid features!

Surprised by the good sound for the price.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box the sound profile is actually really good, especially for getting these for $50 on sale at Best Buy. Sound: Sound is a subjective topic based on the listeners ears, how well they can hear certain frequencies, and what feeling they are going for. I come from a background of car stereo competition (both clarity and bass) and audiophile grade home speakers. I listen to everything from Trance, Dance, Ambient, R&B, Country, to Rock and Metal and everything in-between. Moving forward, I am not going to compare the JBLs to super high end $2,500 over the ear wired types, but rather stick to practical average listener comparisons. The JBL 235NC's have solid bass, maybe even a little on the boomy side, but it does not take away from, or muddy, the sound stage. Highs, mids, and, vocal levels and placement are solid and can compete with all the $300 ear buds out there. I own, and have owned, many other ear buds so I will use a few to make a good comparison. For example, the JBLs have much cleaner bass than the Bose QuietComforts, and the JBLs have a flatter highs section, the rest of the sound is similar. The Sony WF-1000XM4s and 1000XM5s are a notch above on all levels as far as sound goes, but they also cost $250 more. So I would say if the Sony's were a 9 then the JBL 235NCs would be about an 8. The JBLs are more on par with the AirPod Pro 2s, with the JBLs having a slightly lower sound stage placement compared to the AirPod Pro 2s. The JBLs have a better open spatial sound to them compared to the Sennheiser CX Plus and better bass quality as well. Although the Sennheiser bass is more punchy. Keep in mind like the Sony's etc, the JBLs do have an app to control the EQ settings to your liking. I would not push the bass too far due to the smaller driver compared to some of the other fore mentioned models. Fit & Comfort to Wear: These fit so much better than any of the above mentioned ear buds. Can be worn for hours with no ear soreness or itching. Controls: The controls are exactly like the Sony's. Left ear bud has 2 levels of noise cancelling and an off setting. the right ear bud is 1 tap to pause, 2 taps to move to the next song, 3 taps to go back a song. Audible confirmation tones for both earbuds. Talking & Calls: Have not talked much on these yet to really rate them in that category. Final Thoughts: For the average music lover the JBLs have a good sound and try to provide the best of all worlds in a small comfortable package. Note: Some European reviews put these at 1.5 stars out of 5 due to the customer service and failures just out of warranty. I personally cannot confirm these issues, but it is worth noting. However, for $50 (on sale) I can buy 6 of these for the price of some of the others.

Great Earphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these as a quick replacement for my dying airpods and these are amazing. Honestly so much better than the airpods in fit and sound quality. The noise canceling is really good, though the pass through doesn’t really work for me. I haven’t tried the microphone since I do primarily use these for listening to music. Battery life has been much better than the airpods too. I had no trouble connecting these to my iphone either. Every setting has been working for me without the app so I can’t say much about that other than it’s probably not necessary unless you need some other customization options. I’m really glad I bought these.

JBL > Airpods Pro
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just bought these JBL headphones and I love fhem. I switched from Apple Airpods Pro Gen 1 and these blow away the airpods. The sound quality is immensely better and the bass is deep and rich. Its almost as there’s subwoofers in my ears. The battery life is incredible and I love the 10 min charge gets you 2 hours of listening time. I use these everyday and when I workout, and they can take the beating. I’m JBL over Airpods now.

GREAT EARBUDS
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound Quality - 5/5 Okay, let's dive right into the good stuff. These earbuds pack a punch in the sound department. The audio quality is top-notch – crisp highs, punchy mids, and a surprising amount of bass for earbuds this size. Whether I'm vibing to my favorite tunes or catching up on podcasts, the sound experience is legit. Noise Cancelling - 4/5 The noise cancelling is a game-changer, especially in these times. It's not absolute silence, but it does a great job muffling background noise. Whether I'm on a noisy subway or just want to zone out, these earbuds help me find my zen. Comfort and Fit - 4/5 The in-ear design fits snugly and comfortably. It comes with different ear tips, so finding the perfect fit was a breeze. They stay put during workouts and walks, and I haven't experienced any discomfort during longer listening sessions. Battery Life - 4/5 I'm not exaggerating when I say these earbuds last me a solid chunk of the day. With noise cancelling on, I get around 6 hours of playtime, and the case holds a few extra charges. It's perfect for a day out without worrying about running out of juice. Design - 5/5 I'm digging the sleek black look – it's modern and low-key. The case is pocket-friendly and feels sturdy, plus it's super easy to pop the earbuds in and out. The touch controls are intuitive, and I can pause, skip, and adjust the volume with a few taps. Connectivity - 4/5 Pairing is a breeze, and the Bluetooth connection has been solid. I've had minimal dropouts, and the earbuds automatically reconnect when I take them out of the case. Value - 5/5 Considering the sound quality, noise cancelling, and overall performance, I'd say these earbuds are totally worth the investment. You're getting premium features without breaking the bank. Overall - 4.5/5 All in all, the JBL Tune 230NC True Wireless Noise Cancelling In-Ear Earbuds in black are a win for me. They deliver impressive sound, reliable noise cancelling, and a comfortable fit – all wrapped up in a sleek design. If you're looking for a solid pair of true wireless earbuds that won't disappoint, these are definitely worth checking out!

Good... Almost great!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First I'll start by saying these JBL headphones sound amazing! The bass that these things can produce hey some of the best I've heard in wireless headphones. When you turn on the active noise canceling feature that's when they really shine. The active noise canceling works very good as well as the ambient noise and talk through features. I did have a pair of Skullcandy Indy XT ANC headphones before these so that's what I will compare them to. Soundwise and the JBL does produce more bass and I like the fact that you can tweak the sound with the EQ function in the JBL app. That's a big plus compared to the Three preset EQ settings the Skullcandy headphones give you. I was a little bummed out with the lack of features that the JBL headphones could do compared to the Skullcandy. JBL has a option for preset commands for either headphone which I initially thought was pretty cool but it does limit what they can do. The Skullcandy headphones gave me basically every option I needed as far as volume up or down, pause/play/stop music, skip a track, go back a track and also the option to turn off or on the active noise cancellation. You can set each headphone on the JBL's to do one of those features so I have my left earbud for volume control and my right ear bud for playback control. I have to open the JBL app to turn on the ANC, to turn it off or for talk through. That to me is a big downfall since I use the ANC feature quite often while I'm working from home or while I'm at the gym. Other than that he said phones are great for my intended purposes. Like I said I use them at home for a few hours throughout the day listening to music or podcasts. I also use them at least three nights a week at the gym for some pretty intense workouts and these never feel like they're going to fall out due to sweat or me moving around a lot. Overall I would recommend these and I guess I just have to get used to using the app for the ANC feature.

Great Sound and Noise Canceling at a Great Price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The JBL Tune 235NC earbuds are a fantastic option for anyone looking for excellent sound quality and active noise cancellation without breaking the bank. The audio is crystal clear, with deep bass and balanced mids and highs, making them perfect for music, podcasts, and calls. The noise-canceling feature works surprisingly well, cutting out background noise effectively, even in noisy environments. They’re super comfortable to wear for long periods, and the battery life is impressive—up to 40 hours with the case and ANC off. The fast-charging feature is also a lifesaver when I’m in a hurry. I also love the touch controls, which make it easy to adjust volume, switch tracks, or take calls without reaching for my phone. The connection is stable, and pairing them with my devices was seamless. If you’re looking for affordable earbuds with premium features, the JBL Tune 235NC is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

Great for the price, specially if you use android.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These eardubs are great. The sound is clear and bassy. The noise canceling is better than my old AirPods Pro (1st gen) the battery last about two weeks using them about 40 min daily, I actually have never run out of juice because when I charge them the case still have about half the charge and the earsubs are fully charged. Consorting with my AirPods Pro is a night and day difference. Before I used to charge my AirPods every 5 days because the case was running out of reserve power. The only downside is the apple integration and seemless integration with apple ecosystem finally the case covers are very limited. For the apple ones you can find many different styles. Comparing the sound quality with 1st gen AirPods Pro is a lot more bass inclined and perhaps a little louder. Apple ones are a little more clean and have better high and the stage is superior. You can feel the instruments and more small sounds than the JBL for the price the JBL are a much better investment. I got mines for 50$ which is great. Full price 99$ I would rather pay a little more for the AirPods Pro second gen. If you are not an apple user just buy them there is no better deal for the quality.
