Examine the charging port for debris or bent pins. Try charging the headphones overnight. Move the charger around the charging port to see if that helps. If the issue remains, please contact JBL Customer Support.

When charging your headphones, it's necessary that you are using the proper power brick/adapter rated at 5V and at least 1A. Also, you may try using a different cable or charging it into a different power outlet. See if there's any sand or dirt in the speaker's charging port, then clean it with compressed air. If the issue continues, please contact our JBL Customer Support.

Maybe noise muffling at best. Misleading product description and poor customer service.

If you are still having muffled sounds, it is possible that it is caused by the song genres or the source device. Please try connecting your unit to other source devices and use other music apps. If the issue remains, try resetting it by pressing and holding the "Volume+" and "Volume-" for more than five seconds while your unit is powered on. You might need to 'forget' your unit on your device to pair them again. If you need more help, please contact us.
