Posted .Thanks for your review, putting the volume to its highest both on your phone and the JBL Xtreme 2 will certainly sound distorted since the music has gone past it's required volume. You may either lessen the volume on your phone while the Xtreme 2 has max volume or vice versa and you'll still be able to enjoy music around your house. Some of the reviews said that the speaker was not as lound as it should be for the price.I would have to disagree with that. This speaker is loud plugged in or not. When the speaker is plugged in it gets exceptionally better. This speaker has loud clear sound with good punch. Bass is also good And I don’t feel that it is lacking. In all I would have to say that this is a great speaker for its price tag.
