As cell phone charge reduces from 100% to 90% the transmission with clip in and out. If you plug in the phone and maintain 100% the reception is good. App used to select multiple speakers linked together is not very good. Many times it doesn't pick up the additional speaker until many minutes later - still plays but not in L/R stereo. I purchased the speakers on sale and would have returned them if they were full price.
