This Xtreme actually sounds like a real speaker unlike the original Xtreme 1 with the harsh treble and boosted bass at 75hz. The sound quality is night and day between the two, much better highs, mids and lows (if you like real, deep bass). Xtreme 2 = balanced, accurate sound (hifi even) with deep bass (great for indoors and outdoors) Xtreme 1 = boomy, boosted upper bass with harsh treble (which makes it more suitable for outdoors) The only con about the Xtreme 2 is that it's not as loud as the original (loud enough though with zero distortion) I also had the Bose Revolve Plus for a year and I tried 20+ other bluetooth speakers since, but none came close to beating it except for the Xtreme 2.

Great speaker and good battery life with very good durability.

This is my second one because I loved the first one so much and found out they can be paired. One is just sitting eating to be returned

The sound quality is very precise and it covers a room.... I've played music with it outside and have been asked to turn it down by people at mid volumes..... that's a joy to know.... so i turn it up higher just because lol

Sound quality for the size: AMAZING!Battery Life: AMAZING! It’s built tough. Its ready to take your every day normal wear and tear bangs and bumps and no problem. Ive taken it to small gatherings like a bonfire, BBQs and poler nights and its never let me down. The strap even has a bottle opener so… this speaker is ready for a good time.

Was missing charger and I couldn’t turn it on so I had ro return it

My Extreme 1 went bad and they weren’t able to replace it so I went with an upgrade. Took it back and got a Sony portable speaker.

Sounds amazing. Bit bigger than I thought, I think “portable” is only technically true but I can’t argue with the sound quality at all. Bass booms and the trebles and mids are nice and crisp.

Purchased this speaker to take with me on a beach vacation. Build quality is very good as to be expected from JBL. The main reason I did not give this speaker one star was because of how easy it was to carry. The straps were amazing and I do not know of any other speaker that utilizes this type of system. Connectivity through bluetooth was good also didn't have any issue with loosing single or distortion. The main reason for the low review of this speaker is the sound. Sound quality for the price is horrible. You can easily purchase other speakers for half the price of this one and double the amount of sound that you get. (ION or Monster) We could not hear the speaker standing 9 ft away from it on the beach. How is that even possible coming from a $300 speaker. I like JBL and the majority of their products but cannot recommend this speaker to anyone at the current price.

I use it always at home and in the garden Outside. Excellent sound in a Compact format. Very satisfied with the buy. The battery lasts a lot. I would recommend it for sure.

I already own 2 of these fantastic speakers. So I wanted to gift a special music loving friend with a birthday gift of one of them. For the 3rd time, I ordered one on Amazon. My first 2 had been brand new, but this time a USED one came IN A ZIPLOCK BAG! Unbelievable. I returned it, and instead ordered from Best Buy, and was not disappointed. A brand new one one the original box came. So I wanted to warn buyers that it's best to buy from Best Buy

this is a really great speaker to take anywhere you go. I love that it is waterproof and comes with a strap to carry around easily.

A little to low of base. Not a crisp and punchy sound.

Great product! Stays on forever, has amazing sound quality, and is a family favorite. Great for events ranging from house cleaning to beach parties. This was my first JBL speaker and it lived up to its name!

Bluetooth ended up failing on my and it would never connect to my phone. Side plastic piece fell off and wouldn't go back on. Terrible product to go along with the terrible Beats by Dre headphone I purchased as well.
