Need a hi fi speaker to listen to classical Music. As this is blue tooth and portable, I can drag it outside. Syncs easily with my Apple devices. Tried two different ones until I settled on this baby.

well this new one doesn’t get as loud as the xtreme, but it IS fully waterproof. The designers skimped a little on the sound to improve battery life. Still a beast of a speaker

Sounds awesome I can be 100 feet away and stay connected battery charge will last 4 to 5 days during my work week it connects together with other JBL Bluetooth speakers Best Bluetooth speaker I’ve owned.

This model has been replaced and was on sale for $199. At this price point, I don’t feel I could get a better product. The sound fills an entire bay garage that holds 3 fire vehicles. I have a budget that is wouldn’t allow me to purchase the new model (I think is $359). I’ve bought 3 of these and all my guys are happy with the sound and quality.

Pros Clear sound good bass. Battery lasted a long time while listening to music and charging my phone at the same time. Con I wished it came with a usb charging cable. It only comes with a home wall plug.

What can ya say ... its JBL and if you want the sound quality - then you'll have to pay the bucks. Had it not been on sale I would have never bought it. I've had a little round Zamkol that came straight outta China = that cost 1/8th of what I spent for JBL but going Xtreme is much bigger and more sound than I really need in My senior neighborhood - lol - It had to be Xtreme 2 because of my older devices don't B\T and that's what's good about 3.5 plug in AUX

By far one of the best purchases we have ever made. Its a little cumbersome but once you get used to the weight and size it's a great speaker. Sound quality is excellent and the blue tooth hookup/connection is extremely easy. Highly recommend!

This speaker comes in handy during a workout or if I’m just hanging out at the lake with family… It’s durable and the music sounds clear…

A lot of reviews complain about the lack of bass but your talking about a speaker the size of a loaf of bread so your not gonna get ghetto thump out of it but the sound is good and plenty loud and works well on my back deck...

I got this speaker because my Sony was big and bulky and doesn’t work without being plugged up. This jbl sounds just as good and I can move it around the house.

Love this speaker! I had the Generation 1 Xtreme. However the battery finally crapped out. Due to this I could only use ot plugged in. However I loved this speaker for it's portability and power output. When I saw the generation 2 go on sale for Black Friday, I couldnt say no. Would highly recommend. The generation 2 and 3 both have great extra features the gen 1 did not. My only complaint with JBL is that they change their speaker pairing system almost every year and so an old speaker cannot use the JBL connect to the new peakers. Other than this minor flaw these speakers are great.
