After receiving it, I decided I wanted the JBL Boombox instead. It's bigger. I hadn't opened it, as it's a gift. Best Buy has a 14 days return/exchange policy. Seriously? 14 Days? I don't want to return, I want to exchange and I can't. This will stop me from purchasing from Best Buy for gifts in the future.

If you don't have it in you store, then don't advertise it.

I decided to return it after it said it was on the next update despite their being no successful message. The second one did the same exact thing even when plugged in and now I’m not sure if its the speakers or the update or possibky a bad batch at bestbuy I think im gonna just wait till their stock recycles.

Posted .Our JBL Xtreme 4 can be used with our JBL Portable App where you can take advantage of our EQ settings to adjust the audio. The strap allows for ease of portability, you can remove it should you prefer not to use it.
Pricey, not worth the cost

Wasn’t as loud as I expected for that sort of price whats so ever. I’ll never buy anything like this but I’ll keep to their earbuds for sure

Posted .Thanks for your feedback. We're always looking for ways to improve. With our JBL Xtreme 4, source devices (phones, tablets, etc.) all behave a bit differently. Some have very loud outputs, and some can be quite a bit lower, even at maximum volumes. You may try to use an equalizer on your music application to adjust the volume to your preference. If the issue persists, please contact our customer support.

I read some reviews about the extreme 4 and thought I would try it. It is all it is advertised to be. Great, clear sound. It is much lighter than the 2 also. The $400.00 cost means it is not for everybody.

Still connects to previous party boost speakers. Genuinely crazy battery life I have yet for it to die on me. Great buy!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to upgrade/add to my charge 5 expecting a sizeable difference in the bass. After testing it out I was fairly disappointed. To the point I thought something was wrong with it. It seems like it has the same bass level but with louder mids and highs. Work that being said it is a very good speaker but if you have a charge 5 already I would say skip it and just move to the boombox 3 where I definitely noticed a sizeable difference that was worth the cost.

It is not worth it. It is true. It does not have enough base barely I could compare it to the smaller speaker and probably get a better outcome I’m returning this junk and getting the small speaker save some money.

Oddly the start-up and shut-down sound has some bass but never when I'm playing music and I've used different devices. I'm really surprised because I spent extra money on this because I had an older JBL Xtreme model before this one and really liked it and it had a LOT more bass and depth. I'm very surprised how bad it sounds. I'm going to return it and super surprised about this. If it's because I'm not running the JBL app to adjust the EQ, then it's a dealbreaker because I want anybody else to be able to link up to it and they won't have the JBL app, only me/the owner does.

Posted .Thanks for your feedback. We're here to help with your JBL Xtreme 4. If the issue only happens when you are using a specific streaming service or app, you might want to check with the service or app to improve the sonic quality. However, if it appears to be completely random, try boosting the low-frequency settings in the EQ to find a happy medium so that a typical recording sounds more full, but recordings with extreme bass are not excessive. We also recommend trying to turn off the equalizer. If the issue persists, please do a factory reset by pressing and holding the volume up (+) and volume down (-) buttons for 5-6 seconds. The JBL Xtreme 2 should shut down, you will need to 'forget' the speaker in Bluetooth settings on your source device in order to pair it again. If you need more help, please contact our customer support.
