My brother had the smaller version of this speaker and I liked the way it sounded, so I bought this size and I'm very satisfied with it. It has a deeper bass sound than the smaller version, which I like.

I was debating whether to purchase the UE megaboom or JBL Xtreme so I purchased both so I could hear for myself the difference and after comparing the sound, JBL Xtreme is for sure a superior speaker, the sound quality, loudness and bass is very impressive. It is not as compact as the UE Megaboom but it sure will fill out a whole room with good quality sound and bass oriented. Love this product!

I purchased the Xtreme speaker based on my experience with the Charge 3 which I have owned for about a year. I was able to purchase this second one on sale, and it performs beautifully with a rich bass sound perfect for the room in which I intend to use it. A friend who heard it went out and bought the same speaker when the sale price appeared again a couple weeks later. Both JBL speakers serve my needs for different purposes. VERY pleased.

Could be better I like good saund and easy conect to Bluetooth

If you want to get a good quality sound speaker for good money this one is the way to go. I was waiting when price dropped from 299$ to 229$ and didn't even think twice. Love the speaker, respect jbl

In love with my JBL. Sounds amazing, can take anywhere and it is water proof! Cant beat that!!! Totally worth the price!

Great Sound, Easy to Carry, Long Lasting Battery and Bonus that I Can Use the JBL Speaker to Charge my phone.

I bought this on impulse after looking at the features compared to other models and brands. Though this is not an audiophile device, it does have good sound for the size and build. I was able to play over bluetooth for roughly 6 hours without needing a charge. The USB and analog audio inputs contribute to its versatility. It's also loud enough to watch movies outdoors which is a plus. It's a bit on the heavy side for portability however that's what you get for extensive battery life.

I enjoy it charges up to two devices and has great sound with bass loud enough that I can hear it at work over forklift

This little speaker puts out incredible sound. It actually sounds like a complete small stereo system when you crank it up. Portable enough to tote around but large enough to rock your world if you're in the mood. I use it in the basement next to my pool table, haul it out to the patio, and even hook it up to my basement tv when I watch down there. Money well spent. Highly recommended!

I purchased this online without reading reviews but I am actually really happy with it. It's a little on the big side compared to other speakers but the sound is great and it's simple to use.

Though I do think it is a big portable speaker, it makes up for in its bass deliverance. I have the UE Megaboom, as well as the HK Onyx Studio 4 & I speakers, and the JBL is the best by far.

This is the loudest clearest speaker ive owned. You can feel the bass and the battery life is amazing

Good quality big and very loud good for party and small gatherings

This is a nice sounding speaker in the $300 price range, although i got it on sale. Has plenty of power and can be paired with a second speaker. Will not be in stereo though. You can also charge your phone with this speaker. In the rear, there is a zipper that covers the connection ports. It doesn't open enough to see the connectors very well, but i got used to it as i used it. That's about the only thing i don't like, but it doesn't keep me from giving it 5 stars.

Good sound for a portable. I do not need great highs and lows but the Xtreme performs well enough for me in both ranges. Not played at real high volume levels so I do not know how it does in the loudest range.
