Great speaker!!! It's small enough to toss in a backpack, produces good sound, is rugged/weatherproof, has solid battery life and pairs up super easy. Definitely happy with my purchase of this speaker!!!

All I can say is that I tried out both the Fugoo and Fugoo XL. The XL was less money when I initially got it. Both the Fugoo and Fugoo XL have horrible DSP noise in the highs. The tweeters always sounded crackly. I saw that the JBL Xtreme had gone on sale for less and had read reviews of it having better sound and it did not disappoint. While I still feel like all of these Bluetooth speakers can suffer in the high range and from overzealous DSPs (especially at higher volumes), this speaker sounds amazing and it lasts me a good 3 or 4 days laying outside for a couple hours. It has never once gone dead on me. I use it when I am showering, cooking, at the pool, at the beach. I think it actually sounded the best when I was at the beach. I can say I really do not like the all black body and I wish it could float on water like the Fugoo, but if sound quality is important to you, this is the best speaker for this sub 300 price point. The sound is loud and it travels a lot further than you think! This is definitely a must-buy if you are on the fence about which to get.

This speaker is very powerful. Good bass and treble. It sometimes kicks out of Bluetooth from my phone but not my iPad. Battery life is great. It is a bit heavy for its size so keep that in mind.

I wanted a Bluetooth speaker for a while and after looking around this one caught my attention the most. Let me just say this Bluetooth speaker is amazing it hits a high volume and the bass is strong I love it !!!!

All sound ranges are really good. In fact, I also purchased a Bose Soundlink Plus to compare against and after a week I returned the Bose as the sound quality was not as good, particularly the bass. I am not a real fan of the plug-ins underneath as they are not easy to access. It keeps an adequate charge of about 10 hours with medium to medium high volume.

Water resistant, great battery life, and feels premium. The best part is the connect+ feature which let's you connect up to 100 other jbl speakers! The sound is amazing and has pretty good bass

I was in need to replace my Bose speaker, so I did my homework & purchased the JBL Xtreme. Great sound, awesome base & phenomenal 15 hour battery life. I love it. Just what I was looking for.

I was looking for a portable speaker for my wife to use as back up for a Zumba class she taught. This was perfect. It has a 3.5 input, usb out for charging, is splashproof, battery lasts all day, and the sound output was very loud with a good amount of bass. I see reviews about distortions when on the louder end of the volume control but I have not experienced it as much. I've noticed its the source of the music, high compression or non high quality sources seems to cause it. Garbage in garbage out.

Clear sound, great bass and volume perfect. Waterproof and easy charging is a plus. Size is just right not to large or small. Very satisfied with overall performance

Very impressed with the large sound that comes out of this device, The Subwoof sound is equally amazing. I can usually get a good day, day in a half between charges.
