Must buy if you love portable Bluetooth speakers of great quality. Battery life lasts me 10+ hours easy at about 75% which is loud enough.

Great sound! It is in the upper price range but at the end of the day it is worth the money. I took it on a camping trip, we used it a couple of hours here and there and it was still playing on the 3rd day.

This was my 4th JBL bluetooth speaker purchase...I have an original charge, a flip2, and a charge2+, I am obviously a big fan of the JBL product...I bought the extreme to be my permanent living room speaker and free up my charge 2+ for my basement and travel...my living room is pretty big and when people are hanging out and talking the charge 2+ got washed out. I wanted a speaker that I would have to turn down rather than keep trying to turn up with no more available volume...the JBL Extreme delivered this, the bass cranks, and the highs match and don't get washed out, nor do the highs wash out the bass, so the sound output is a well balanced mix. Again I wanted a speaker that I would have to turn down because it was just to loud, and that's what I got, when this speaker is going full tilt people will say "that's to loud"...perfect!...my next purchase will be a flip 3 that I can pair to the extreme and place them corner to corner from each other..

I was actually prepared to buy a UE Megaboom when I happened across the jbl extreme. Even at the store, the display model seemed to give a richer, fuller sound. Once I tried it at home I was even more impressed. This thing is loud. regardless of where I placed it, the sound fills my whole house (1300 sqft). The blue tooth is pretty decent too. It maintains a strong connection around a corner or two and has a reasonable distance before cutting out. The battery life is great too. I've had it blasting for hours at a time and it never went dead. Overall a great buy.

I've tried a bunch of these portable speakers, and these are by far the best. The base is really powerful, the mids and highs are excellent. The highs were comparable on similarly priced units. But the bass on the JBL blew everything outta the water!! The JBL sounds better. Hands down.

This speaker is a great addition to my beach supplies. It has enough sound to fill an entire backyard too. The bass is clear and very present: perfect for bassheads. When you crank it up the sound doesn't distort and will last for HOURS on a full charge. The unit might be unwieldy for users with small hands, but the provided strap is strong and doesn't get in the way. I cannot wait to pair this to another jbl speaker and enjoy sound from different angles

I seem to have a collection of about 10 mediocre BT speakers. They sound ok, but pretty flat and not that loud. I decided to get rid of a bunch and get one nice speaker. Enter the Xtreme. I love this speaker. it sounds great with plenty of bass and gets LOUD. Battery life is great (I've had it over a year and it still holds a charge). One complaint...AC charger, I wish it could be charged via USB

Wanting a good bluetooth speaker I had a choice, either the Beats Pill or this the JBL Xtreme. I chose this after a side by side listening sample!! And I do not regret the purchase. It has great sound and suprisingly good bass!! And for its price in my opinion is better than the Beats!! Pairing it to my iPhone went smoothly. Just wish maybe I had purchased two and chain it together!! It’s that good!!

This speaker has excellent quality sound and is perfect for around the house or taking on trips. Will definitely be taking to the lake and beach this summer. Big sound for such a small unit!

This is a great product. A friend of ours had this speaker out on their boat and we were listening to it instead of the boats stereo because it sounded so much better than the boat's stock stereo. The volume and sound quality that comes out of this thing is amazing. And the built in rechargeable battery seems to last forever. Many hours of listening. We were so impressed with it we went and purchased our own. And we are very pleased with it.

I did a lot of research before buying a decent BT speaker and bought Megaboom from UE and JBL Extreme. I liked extreme much better due to its nice sound and solid bass

Great speaker! Clear sound and this thing has volume. It is by no means a small speaker but if a larger sized speaker isn’t an issue, you won’t be disappointed.

The JBL Extreme Bluetooth speaker is a very capable wireless speaker with excellent bass. The sound is crystal clear and volume is more than adequate to fill a small to medium room with great sound. USB charge ports and speakerphone capability are great extras. One of the better Bluetooth speakers at this pricepoint, easily comparable to Bose and Sony and actually better in my opinion.

We purchased this to use at the beach and around the house. Sound is excellent even at higher volumes. Bluetooth works well with multiple users and easy to setup. Battery life is great also, but playing at higher volumes decreases life of battery but still lasts a long time. Played for up to 10 hours and still had some battery life left. Just recharged to be ready for next day

While we wait for it to warm up here in Syracuse NY to fully get use of this amazing speaker, we have been using it at home just for casual music listening. we’ve only charged it TWICE in 2 months. Amazing battery life and the sound is clear and loud. I can’t wait to utilize this on our boat this summer. It being waterproof is the cherry on top!
