I bought this for my best friend to use on her back porch. She loves it. It sounds awesome. Its a little big, but for what she uses it for, its fine. The only thing that was frustrating was getting in synced with her ipod. The instructions are really useless. Her son came over and had it going in no time. Probably user error on our end, but some people are not tech savvy and need clear, concise manuals. I'm going to buy one for myself.

Wow, the sound that came out of this is by far the best speaker over heard in the 500$ and under category. Waterproof too! You can go wrong.

Great bass, great sound, easy to connect via blue tooth. Can’t speak for the battery life but bought for my wife for the beach.

Its a good speaker. Bass is awesome. Thought it would be crazy loud for the size but i guess that size is for all the bass. Its still loud tho and clear. Def above average. I like that it can link with other jbl speakers too for more/surround sound.

The best of the blue tooth speakers below 299.00. Spend the extra money. Better than the Bose mini. The base on this unit is very good.

Sound is amazing. For something as small as it is, it sure packs a punch.

The JBL Xtreme bluetooth speaker sounds great, from highs to amazing lows for the size. But it is really big - the size of a football and kind of hard to handle. Yes, you can carry it one-handed, but you'll end up 2-handing it a lot just because it's kind of awkward. I wish it stood on end like some other speakers of this type. The biggest problem, though, is that it uses it's own charger with the standard laptop-style power maggot mid-cord. You have to carry this around, and it means you need an AC power source in the car to charge it there. It really should use USB charging. In the end I returned it and bought a UE Megaboom - not quite as good on sound, but just easier to deal with.

Sounds amazing. Had jbl charge 3 first but wanted to upgrade. Best bluetooth speaker out there. Lots of bass. Better than beats by dre.
