The speaker sounds and looks great! I almost returned it because the bass was too much. Then I looked online and found out how to turn the bass down. I don't know why it doesn't say in the directions. It should simply have a button to turn the bass on & off. Other than that, I love it!

I purchased 2 of the JBL Xtreme Portable Bluetooth Speakers for my husband and he loves them. The sound quality from this speaker is awesome!

I wanted this one for a while so I bought it when it went on sale. It has great sound inside the house and when we have it outside it sounds like a much bigger speaker.

I bought this speaker during Prime days last year and I really love it. It has big sound and a carrying strap to keep me from dropping it.

It out performs all of my previous speakers I have ever owned. I have the first JBL flip and it still works today. So buying this one, I knew it would worth it to upgrade.

This was a gift for son to replace his broken older UE Boom which was dragged around till it finally broke. Tells me its great and can charge his phone too.

Considering I bought this on The deal of the day. Its awesome for its price. At regular price I'd look at the higher levels. But this is great!

The highs are not pronounced enough but nonetheless...I LOVE IT. The mids and bass are in front which make for a boomy sound..still great speaker tho.

This is my second JBL Extreme speaker and I love it! Great sound quality!! Looking forward to purchase the second generation JBL extreme in the future!!

Excellent performance and superior design make this Bluetooth speaker my favorite for many reasons. I've been using the Xtreme for about a month now, and use it at least 4 or more hours a day. I listen to Spotify, podcasts, and iPad movies on it. I found my android phone has some minor connection issue that makes the audio drop out for only a fraction of a second. Most people don't even notice this little glitch until I point out. When the Xtreme is playing a signal from my iPhone, or iPad, the signal is flawless. I'm very sure the problem is with my android phone and not the Xtreme. I can't say enough about the design of the Xtreme and why I think it's the best Bluetooth speaker in its class. I spent 6 months reading reviews and watching videos about Bluetooth speakers, and this one always came out on top of all the ratings and reviews. Battery life, sound quality and overall design are the best I've ever seen. The sound quality is a well balanced blend of mid range and highs with a smooth distortion free base kick that is clean at all levels. If any distortion was found, I notice it was in the sound file itself. Comments from strangers in public places have been amazing. A few weeks ago I took the Extreme on a hiking trail. About 2 miles into my hike I encountered two young men looking in the bushes near the trail. When I asked what they were looking for, they said there was a car down in the bushes. "Listen", they said. "You can hear the car stereo". That's when I realized they couldn't see the Xtreme slung under right arm. When I told them what they were hearing, and showed them, they busted up laughing, and said they thought it was a car stereo. I've been having fun experimenting with the Xtreme in various places that actually add to the sound quality. Caves, warehouses, cars and trucks. It's all fair game when it comes to sharing the music I love. I'd really like to see a unit of the same design but about twice the size. Not that I don't like this size, its just that, sometimes, I like to frap peoples bones. If your looking for a.better price on the Xtreme, I don't think you'll see it for at least 8 months, or after Christmas, if your lucky. It's just too new, and too hot right now.

Bought this based on sound quality in store and was pleasantly surprised by the performance at the beach and outdoor patio. Sound clarity and richness are excellent.

My 16 year old grandson is very pleased with this Christmas present. He reports superior quality of sound and takes it with him when he's out and about.

This speaker puts out great highs and a lot of bass for such a small speaker. The wireless connectivity is also great. I've had no issues with dropped connections.

Every beach or gathering I go to I bring my portable speaker and the people like to listen to my music because they do not own one or forgot theirs at home.

I love the balance with the sound this gives. It blows the Pill and Bose (in the same class) away! I love the purchase and linked up to my Bluetooth right away.
