The speaker sounded just ok..it was a little bit muddled and underwhelming. I have a Sonos Move which i realize is a bit more expensive, but in a similar sized footprint, the Sonos sounds much more musical and enveloping than this JBL.

The Xtreme 3 is high quality and the sound is great, however it will not pair with JBL BoomBox 1, so make sure you know before you buy. I am returning and purchasing the Xtreme 2 because they are saying that will work with the original Boombox. The Xtreme 3 will only connect with the Boombox 2.

Quality is good, the strap is nice to carry speaker around without the hassle of having to carry it by hand.

Easy to link to Bluetooth. Just wish it had an adjustable equalizer.

Loved the sound. My husband loved his gift, stopped charging alittle after the year. Super upset i didn't get the warranty. The JBL Customer Service is very kind and helping with partial credit.

Needs a smaller carry handle. Stays in place where placed. Great sound for nephews room.

Used it once, tried to use it again a couple weeks later and it would not charge!!! My son in law has one and he thought it might be the charging cord. But the cord worked on another appliance. I also learned that I missed the return date by a couple days! I don’t want to return, I want an exchange…

This speaker has amazing sound. I’ve used JBL speakers for years. They never disappoint.

The speaker is weak for jbl the music is crisp but the sound is weak. Even after adjustment with the jbl app there's no bass the volume levels are comparable to cheap speakers. If you dont like loud music volumes its for you but me i like to listen while working or in the house and hear from another room this speaker is not the one for that. Missed my return deadline because of work guess im stuck with it. My charge 4 is a stronger richer sound then this one and its half the size. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless you're tone deaf.

The lack of clean Bass makes the Boombox the clear choice!

Good Battery Life bought this one to fill the warehouse with sound does the job

The Extreme 3 is not a loud speaker. The videos they show touting how loud this speaker is is not true. It is only a little louder than the Jbl Extreme 2. Not worth the upgrade.
