    not able to recharge the speaker JBL makes better speakers -- this model has an apparent know issue with charger

      This is not what we want you to experience with our JBL Xtreme 3. If your speaker is not charging, please try another charging cable and power adapter. You may also try using a different wall outlet to ensure that the issue is not with the outlet. Sand and dirt can get into the product's charging port. Clean the charging port with compressed air, and ensure that the power rating of the adapter is 2 amps or higher. For further assistance, please contact our customer support. JBL

    Sounds great but the main issue is the battery only last about 4-5 hours on a full charge.

      We appreciate your feedback. We understand that our JBL Xtreme 3 should have at least 15 hours of playtime (depending on the music content and volume level). If the speaker does not meet the advertised playtime hours at low to medium volume levels, the speaker's battery may be faulty.     Base is controllable thru an app but i have the jbl flip 5 n they sound exacly the same the straps are flimzy and you would think bigger speaker bigger sound not here

    Sound is great quality, but this speaker is not loud and will not be good for outside use. The ION speakers are a lot louder.

    Not impressed with this speaker for how expensive it was. Not very loud. Ok sound quality. Nothing great. Expected better from JBL. If you’re going to spend that much might as well get the Sony speaker instead.

    It's cool. It's gets loud and has good base. But the charge 5 has a better sound quality to me.

    Poor bass quality. No lows only highs. It is certainly loud. Obnoxiously loud but without any bass what so ever. We purchased two. One for each of our bikes. Guess we’ll have to wait for something better.

    Okay at high volume level. At low level it’s garbage. Your better off getting the cheapest speaker they have or get the Charge 5 which will hold its own against this thing.

    Speaker easy to use , great size just not as loud as I thought it would be for size. That’s my only disappointment.

    I have been a big fan of JBL for many years but am very disappointed with the Xtreme 3. I have had it for a little over a year and only used it sparingly given the fact that I am addicted to purchasing bluetooth speakers and have several around the house plus Sonos in every room. However after only using a handfull of times the Xtreme 3 will not power on. I have done research and tried everything to remedy the issue but it will not power on.

    Never got the item. Someone else pick it up. Called customer service. They could never help me !! Said I needed to dispute with my bank. Never ever buy at beat buy again. They r terrible and don’t have a store number !!!!! Never buy at beat buy again !!!
