Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the Epic Air Sport ANC True Wireless Earbuds for their top-notch sound quality, comfortable fit, and great battery life. The charging case with both wireless and USB charging is also appreciated. However, some customers have experienced occasional connection issues, dislike the touch controls, find the ANC a bit weak, and feel the highest volume is quite low.

    Good buds for the price

These buds have a lot of nice features, particularly in this price range, but a lot will depend on what you're looking for. First, the charging case. The case is compatible with Qi chargers, which is very convenient, and also has its own built in USB cable. No more fussing around for the right cable, but you will have to locate an open USB slot. While it looks a bit clunky and isn't going to win any design awards, the case is functional. One very odd design feature, though - the left earbud has to go into the right side of the case, and vice-versa. Sound is good, although a notch or two below buds from Apple, Sony, and Jabra, albeit at half the price or less. They're missing some bass, but not in a balanced way, It's just not there. The foam tips help with this a bit, but don't completely overcome the missing lows. Play with the equalizer, but be aware that you may not be able to compensate completely. Voice quality is actually quite good. I have a deep voice, and people frequently have trouble understanding me on Bluetooth headsets. This one was on par with the Bose for voice quality, which is to say really good. Noise cancelling is definitely there, and it does help silence ambient noise. For me, the real test is how they do on an airplane and, like most everyone else, I'm not flying until the pandemic is under control, so I can't answer that. What I can say is that the outside world gets quieter when you turn the feature on, but it doesn't completely disappear the way it does with my Sony WH-1000XM3s. Of course, that's not quite a fair comparison, but with limited travel, it's all I have. Overall, I've been using these as I work from home to listen while I work. They're comfortable enough to wear for hours, the battery life is excellent, the sounds is pretty good, and the noise cancellation blocks out the minor irritants of the day. A good set of headphones for the price, but if you want something that will help you get lost in the music, you're going to have to pay twice as much.

I really like the fit of these clip style buds. I prefer this style to the traditional bud only, having both assures that they won't fall out. JLab has done a clever thing with the "Be Aware" feature. These definitely block out the sound with their fitment, but the BE AWARE feature uses the mics in both buds to play ambient audio through the speakers. When turned up all the way you can hear yourself talking, but there isn't a delay. The standard setting I wasn't sure it was working, but but turning it off, I was told I was noticeably louder when talking with the buds in. So I just keep it on the standard setting. I am having an intermittent issue with sound dropping out like it is pausing and then playing again. I use a Pixel 3a and am streaming via YouTube Music. When I am in either of my vehicles I don't have this issue via Bluetooth. So I don't know if it is the buds or the BT connection. When using wired headset, I have not had this issue. I also have another set of JLab True Wireless buds and I have noticed it doing it there too. It's not all the time, just some of the time. I thought maybe it was the Auto Play/Pause sensor, but I had turned that feature off. So it happens enough to comment on it, but not so much that it renders the buds unusable. If it does turn out to be the buds and not some other unrelated issue, I have seen where YouTube Music threads talk of this happening, then it is just a software update away, which is very simple via the JLab App where the features can be customized. I can definitely recommend these, JLab has become my new favorite brand. I also have the Epic Air ANC and between the two, I'd have to go with the Sport version. As stated I do prefer the clip style, but also the case is larger due to the increases size, which allows the case to wireless charge on my stand charger. If you have a wireless pad charger, then it makes no difference.

These headphones are some of my favorite. Super comfortable to wear for extended period of time. Actually stay on your ears, and come with a bunch of ear pieces to fit your ears. Sound quality is fantastic and so is the ANC. For 100 bucks, these are spectacular

Feels good in the ear. Sound is good but what I really hate is when I forget to disconnect them from my Peloton bike and I try to use them on my iPad. No chance! The earphones are paired with the iPad and yet I still can’t connect although I’m no where near the bike. Same trying to connect to the bike while still connected to the iPad. Doesn’t matter if I open and close the case. I’ve spent numerous times in the beginning trying to connect to the bike. Standing there for quite a while and trying to connect is pretty annoying especially when you are motivated to get a workout in and being stopped by some earphones. Save yourself from buying these if you plan to use them on multiple devices. Not worth it!

    Great Sound & Battery Life

The Jlab Epic Air Sport ANC True Wireless earbuds provided a very good quality sound. I used them both at home (indoor/outdoor) and at the gym and they performed great in all environments. I tested the earbuds with services like Tidal and Quibi, both sounded mostly very good. The noise cancelling works well for blocking out some outside noises, though sometimes you will want it either off or set on 'be aware' to hear your environment. The over-ear hook is important to have for me, especially if I'm doing something like the treadmill with a lot of bouncing in my step, because they help keep them in the ear well. It's important to get the right fit for the rubber earpieces (variety included), because the default size was apparently too large and actually hurt my ear. The USB plug is built into the charging case, which I found convenient in my environment. In my testing, I couldn't get the battery to run out, the claimed battery life (plus stored charge in the charging case) is the best I've seen so far in terms of true wireless earbuds I've owned. I was glad that I can switch equalizer settings right from the earbuds themselves, there are voice prompt that let you know what you're switching to which is a plus. Perhaps the hard part is remembering all the tap/hold gestures to change modes. I would definitely recommend reviewing the quick start manual that comes with it to learn the basic controls, though with the app you have some ability to customize some of that. While I wasn't sure at first, I think these will be my primary earbuds going forward, and I would recommend them.

    Solid Workout Earbuds

Overall good product. I did have an issue after only having them for less than a month where the right earbud was not turning on. Tried a few trouble shooting options that did not work initially. After 48 hours, the earbud powered up again and then I had to remove the headset from my Bluetooth devices and re-pair with my phone. Took about 10-12 tries for that to work. JLab technical support and warranty team were very helpful. All that being said, just getting use to the controls on the headset versus my old workout headset, and liking the sound and comfort.

Excellent True Wireless Value buds with ANC - For

These JLAB True Wireless Sport buds have everything that a teen or casual listener need for a GREAT experience - Both in use, and in charging. There’s just one caveat: They aren’t for small ears often associated with teens and young adults, but work great for workouts for those who have the right fit. The buds come in pretty typical JLAB packaging, and include multiple eartips, and a VERY welcome foam eartip type (similar to a COMPLY tip purchased aftermarket). These should make the fit process work for most. MOST. The earbuds have an unusual design - It looks similar to other “ear hook wireless buds” but the bud itself is somewhat bean shaped. It does NOT do well with people that have shallow ears (a shallow concha) or a small ear tragus, or a passive antitragus (Look up parts of the outer ear for help on this). I had my wife and 3 daughters all try on these headphones (Ages 38, 12, 10 and 6.) Only the 12-year-old could wear them comfortably and even then she required the ear hooks to be positioned a good deal forward with the buds almost facing downward into her ear canal for a firm hold, but audio quality was still reported to be good. The overall kit is a great setup: The buds come in a sleek case that pockets well thanks to its beveled edges and flat layout. The battery life holds up - A full case charge lasted over a week of daily use. Not all day, mind you, but several hours of use per day of music while working out or doing school work. The case has another feature that (despite the fit issues on some youth) seems totally tailored to the younger crowd - A USB cable integrated Into the case! (Kids lose stuff that isn't attached. My only real complaint is that this ties you to USB-A connectivity to charge it wired, which is still quite ubiquitous, but a Type-C version should be considered on the roadmap as manufacturers of other charging things and laptop manufacturers are starting to drop the bulky “A” ports for their svelte “Type C” nearly-universal counterparts. None of this is critical for this year’s model though, and wireless qi-compatible charging is available, much like what’s offered by much higher priced headphones from the major brands. The headphones are a very complete package, and competitive with the “big guys” - If you have the ears for them.
