Yeah; these rock!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally, someone got it right! True wireless, crystal clear sound, with action inspiring bass! Killer charging case! I was skeptical of this product given the fact that true wireless seemed a bit “Jetsons” to me. It didn’t seem possible to have a set of earbuds that were capable of communicating with one another with such clarity and consistency. JLab Audio knocked it out of the ballpark with this one! It’s great to be able to wander away from the source and retain sound quality… It’s also kind of amazing that the battery life with this product is so long. I’ve never been a big fan of having anything go over my ears; especially since I wear glasses. These buds glide on with ease, nest securely in your ears, and stay in place. Buds I’ve worn in the past have put pressure on different parts of my ears. I did not experience that at all with the Epic Air. Further, it’s kind of amazing not having wires connecting to anything! I highly recommend these; Especially for an active person like me who can’t live without her music!

Worst Headphones I've ever used
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The loss of sound in the right earbud during my workout was unreal. It would not stay connected in the gym. These headphones need more work before being sold. I'll be returning these ASAP

These Are Terrible
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just don’t buy these. They don’t stay in your ears, they are hard to see with Bluetooth and they’re just awful they’re expensive for no reason. Bypass the ear buds.

Forward-thinking Design!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These buds were easy to sync, use and workout in. The buds synced seamlessly with my smartphone. I have walked for a few days wearing them and they were very comfortable. I was afraid that the hook would interfere with my glasses, but the fit, feel and comfort overall was second to none. The sound they produced while walking was good. I did answer a call while wearing these and I did not experience any lag, cutouts or choppy communications. I do recommend these for gym workouts, walking, running along with day to day tasks that free up hands from a physical phone.

Some good, some bad. Read up.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was really hoping to like these, as I was looking for a true wireless headphone experience, but after quite a bit of time with them, I can only say they are about average. There are a few things I like, as well as a few I do not. With any discussion regarding in-ear buds, fit and comfort must be among the first as well as one of the most important things to touch upon. I know this is something many people struggle with, but I normally do not have this issue. Here, JLab mostly hits the mark, at least for me. The buds (with several available tip options) fit great, stay in place and are comfortable. Sounds good, right? Well, not exactly, and this is part of the problem. While they fit, and stay, I can’t seem to get that “seal” in my ear to have solid sound isolation and bring the most out of my music. Absolutely, a letdown for me. Further, as sound quality is so important to me, I am somewhat disappointed in the overall sound quality of these headphones. I would say, generally, again, they are about average, perhaps slightly less. Maybe there or slightly better when compared across just the wireless market, but given the price I want more. Next, the controls. Here, I am about neutral. Part of the problem is simply market-wide. These are small headphones. There is not a lot of physical space to work with. Generally, the gestures for play, pause, volume, etc…work fine, the problems arise simply from the nature of the setup. Given the gesture-based system, any inadvertent touch, adjustment, or brush causes mayhem on my track. Skip, volume, pause. It happens a lot. With all that is right about this setup, I do not have an idea about how to fix that issue. Since these are wireless, they need a connection to a source. Here lies another source of my frustration. Getting these to connect to my phone, consistently, is inconsistent at best. Also, the process is just not very smooth. Once connected, the experience is about what one would expect, although I seem to need to stay closer to my phone than I do with other Bluetooth connections. Beyond that, it seems there are interference issues, as my connection drops, comes back and drops again seemingly more than it should. All of this is perhaps my biggest issue with these buds. On the flip side, where these buds really shine is battery life. I could not be more pleased with the use time per charge or the charging cradle/case. With this setup, I could go days before having to charge. Here, JLab delivered perfectly. So, in the end, what do I think? For some, they may be “good enough,” based on what they are looking for, but for all the good that is here, there is just about the same bad. I am looking for buds that fit, sound great, have good battery life and “just work.” For me, it is not these JLab Epic Air.

These are really nice earbuds, and yes, wireless
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These totally wireless earbuds are much more advanced than the price tag suggests. And the sound quality is on par with much more expensive earbuds. Not to mention fully wireless. The packaging is nice, I was impressed with the amount of packaging and quality of the packaging material. The package allows you to see wha the earbuds look like, so you aren't buying them blindly. This is nice. And box is nicely laid out, with the proper amount of info needed to get started, and the necessary parts. Once you get them out, you pair ONLY one of them, the primary ear you want to use, then the other one pairs itself automatically and quickly each time you engage the one that is learned into your phone through bluetooth. Very slick. Be sure to charge BOTH of them, or at least listen to what each one is saying, if you are having any trouble - I had one that was charged fully and the other was empty, and I didn't know it, but that was my trouble getting started. To charge these little things, you put them in the provided hard shelled case, and the battery in that case will charge them. They sit on the charging contacts and yes, it is magnetic, so no trouble lining them up. A really cool feature? A charging cable is INCLUDED (no charger though) AND is wrapped around the outside of the case. So you just remove this cable and one end is for plugging into a charger, or your computer, and the other into the hard shelled case. This charges the battery in the case, which in turn charges your earbuds. The earbuds show an indication of being charged, and the case has little lights that let you know how much battery is left in the case. You can press it and see that status, but when those lights go out, the case is still charging. Once charged, and you put them in your ears, the magic starts. Oh, by the way, there are multiple versions of earbud covers, so if you have tiny ear holes, or big ones, or anything in between, Jlab has your covered! The last set of earphones I have from Jlab Audio has the same....nice to think of everyone, not a once size fits all design. So, you can do programming on auto on/off and more things. But out of the box they work as you would expect. Charge and they are "off"....taken off charge, they pair back on. There are different taps for different things, for different ears too. With a short learning curve, this works as good as you would hope....plus you can even calibrate the tap area just in case you find you need to do this. The amount of time the charge lasts is amazing - it is rated at 6 hours for streaming and I have found they go even longer. They also have a long sleep time, so if you don't use them often, they should retain their charge. Anyway, I digress. They fit great around your ear and plug into your ear canal - they aren't simply half straws hanging out of your ears ready to fall out in a moments notice.....you know you've had that happen with the regular headphones, we all have. These are made to stay put and they do....they even tell you how to put them in for success, hang, twist a certain way to "lock them in" and that method works great! They feel decent in my ears and the sound quality is really good for earbuds at this price point....but the best part? They work great! And the charging case, cable engineering onto the outside of the box, the automatic pairing between earbuds, etc. is all really decent and frankly a little amazing. Sound quality is great, even before using the jlab app for burning them in....I can only say that I love music and can be critical about sound quality - if I like the sound quality, you know they must sound decent. Would I recommend them to my friends/family - YES! Great job Jlab Audio, another success story from you guys!

JLAB Wireless Earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First day I used earbuds and they paired up and worked just fine. No problem. The following day I tried for two hours to get them to pair up as I could only hear sound from right one which was connected to my Galaxy tablet. I put both earbuds in case and left overnight thinking they maybe needed a good charge. . The next day I tried to get the left one to pair up and still no success. I even went to the JLAB web site and followed the directions to recalibrate and still no success. I finally called JLAB tech support. Tech had me push buttons and we finally got the earbuds connected. Used on laptop and galaxy tab. Could not get the earbuds to connect to my kindle fire. I was disappointed that My Kindle fire would not connect. I have three other blue tooth devices (keyboard, little speaker and cheap ear bud) connected to the Kindle fire, but the JLAB earbuds are not discoverable by the Kindle Fire. I really wanted these wireless earbuds so I could listen to audio books while on the treadmill at the health club. After much trial and effort finally got the earbuds connected to the Kindle Fire tablet. I danced my happy dance. I expected better performance from JLAB products as I have been very happy with other products from this company. The ear buds work great when they work The case is a tad flimsy and you have to make sure you insert the earbuds in properly. Hopefully the earbuds will continue to stay paired. It is nice to have the extra ear pads and the charging case is really a great concept as you never have to worry about your earbuds going silent. I give these earbuds 5 stars for concept of the charging case, play life and when they work they are great. I give them two stars for the frustration of getting earbuds functioning properly. I think the biggest problem is changing devices (laptop, tablets). But for the cost they should be more than a one trick pony Maybe I am just old fashioned but plugging in a wired earbud is easier and works consistently across platforms.

Can't stay connected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been waiting for these instead of buying the Epic 2. I can say they are very comfortable and stable. I have run, done kettlebells and worked out without them falling out. I replaced the tips with foam and the sound is pretty good. Mids and highs some times out of balance and bass could be stronger, but as good of sound as any wireless headphones I have had anyway. Only problem is they won't stay connected. I haven't gone a 10 minute stretch without them disconnecting for a couple seconds. Usually the right goes out (I have the left as the main) followed by the left and then after a couple seconds the left comes on and then the right comes on. I have tried unpairing and repairing, switching the main, changing phone locations and unpaired every other device from my phone and still had the issue. I noticed it happens a little less when I don't wear my glasses, but since I can't see without them that is not really an option. I am going to try the Airpods to see how they are when I work out because I am worried they will fall out, but the pair I have borrowed have never disconnected on me so that would be an improvement in that area. Staying in isn't as good when they only work half the time.

Great potential, flawed by ugly issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first, I absolutely loved these earbuds. The fit was awesome, the sound was appreciable, the touch controls were fantastic, and the battery life was above average. Then, I took them to the gym, and it all went downhill. In a noisy environment, it made me realize (oddly enough) that the sound quality wasn't as good as first noted. There is very little low end, and the overall profile is just lackluster. It wasn't long after that I started noticing the connection issues that several people have complained about. The slightest movement of my head would case the sound to drop for a second or two. At times, I could just be sitting idle and the connection would be going haywire, constantly dropping in and out. I'm inclined to think that the close proximity design of the charging contacts could cause the slightest amount of sweat to short each earbud, but I'm not certain of it. The connection would get so bad that they would just turn off entirely by themselves. I really wanted to love these earbuds, as the hook design is a favorite of mine when it comes to headphones... but sadly, I had to return them and opt for something else.

Comfortable wireless earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very comfortable for extended wear. They are very secure and are built to withstand sweat so this is a great option for workout earbuds, no wire to get in the way. I found the sound quality to be really good. Not too much bass. The battery life is really good for being wireless and the charge case battery life is awesome. The USB cord snaps around it so you'll always have it handy. The earbuds controls are done by tapping on either the right or left but they are very sensitive. Being able to pair through either the left or right earbud is a great feature. I am very satisfied with them.
